P.B. Loco ~ The best snack time! ~~ CONTEST!

Contest runs Tuesday, May 13, 2008 - Tuesday, May 20, 2008!
My family had the pleasure of trying two flavors of premium peanut butter. The ever so yummy PB Loco Raspberry White Chocolate and the mouth watering Dark Chocolate Duo. My 2 year old is in snack heaven right now!

There are also two new mouth-watering flavors, Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough and Caramel Chunk (which I cannot wait to try!). With an abundance of nutrients and zero grams trans fat, P.B.Loco gourmet flavor-infused peanut butters are a fun and healthy food.

After reviewing the nutrition facts from P.B. Loco Peanut Butter and Jiff, there is a pretty big difference in the nutrients. P.B. Loco offers LESS calories, LESS fat, LESS sodium and MORE flavor! What else could I ask for? Tons of flavor and more satisfying.

If you would like to receive coupons to use for our online store if you sign up for “FREE STUFF” on the upper right-side of www.pbloco.com.
__________________________

Would you like a chance to win your own collection of flavors?

P.B. Loco is offering a 3-Pack Gift Box, which includes a P.B.Loco peanut spreader, to a fellow peanut butter enthusiast.

Post a comment with your contact information so that I can get in touch with you and on Tuesday, May 20th, one lucky household will be drawn at Random.

Contest runs NOW through Tuesday, May 20, 2008!

Garage Sale

How can having a garage sale just completely wipe you out? I didn't make too much extra cash today, so hopefully the people will be out more tomorrow! Cheers for getting rid of quite a bit of baby clothes though!

Credit card ratings & reviews with Credit Cards Club

Friday, May 16, 2008

As you may have read in this post, I am really in to saving money and making sure that things are paid for with cash to prevent the credit card build up. If you are in the ‘market’ for a credit card, I have found that Credit Cards Club is an excellent website to help you find that right card for the right needs. With Credit Cards Club, I was able to look for those low interest credit cards, search for those with low or no annual fees, research balance transfer information and view what the most popular cards are to have. credit cards Club has definitely helped keep my eye open for the best choice for me!

Thursday, May 15, 2008

When I was pregnant and when we found out we were having a girl, my first thought was "Ohhh, what can I do her room colors and theme in?!” Pink, of course (which the hubby wasn’t too fond of that idea!). Can you cut your expenses?

Thursday, May 15, 2008

Taken from Karen at Thrifty Mommy... I am sitting here (in the silence since the kids are napping.. ahhh!!) going over my Summer budget. I feel great knowing that my bills are pretty small (with the exception of the car and recurring insurance payments). I created an awesome Excel spreadsheet that shows me my income and my expenses. I am budgeted pretty much until the end of the year. I budget for everything... gas, diapers, food, bills, etc.

If you would like a copy of this to help get your debt and bills organized, please email me at gordonfamily@mchsi.com and let me know. I will be more than happy to share it with you.

I never really was a coupon cutter, but I am now! My friend, Laurie at DoubleBugs, has clued me in on the savings knowledge and now I never go to the store without my coupon caddy. I just bought a small accordion file from Wal-Mart (in their filing section) for a whole whopping $1.78 and labeled it to the things that I buy the most. It works and I didn't have to wait 4-6 weeks for a higher priced organizer to arrive through the mail.

We do not go out and buy hundreds of dollars of groceries at a time. I feel that is a waste for our house. I like to sit down and plan my meals and plan what I will buy and what we need. Shopping for store brands sometimes can be good, but some times, you may end up paying less for a WHOLE lot less. Once you get in that routine, you will get familiar with the things that you can get the best deals on.
Visit Karen for some of her helpful money saving tips!

JazO Shades

Thursday, May 15, 2008
Is your little one 'so cool'?

We love our JazO Shades! They not only stay on Tucker (who, by the way, is VERY active), they are "cool" and "awesome". When my toddler tells me that he is cool and awesome, we mean business! He wears his JazO Shades to bed. You think I am kidding? Oh, no I am not! The child takes his shades everywhere with him. He seems to eat more of his dinner when he wears them.

  • JazO children's sunglasses and infant discount sunglasses have a soft adjustable neoprene band equipped with a safety release
  • Our sunglasses are made of safe, durable polycarbonate
  • UV400 lenses block out 100% UVA and UVB rays
  • 10 brilliant colors: Blue, Red, Pink, Purple, Orange, Green, Yellow, Black, White and The American Flag
  • Sunglasses are available in 2 sizes: Infant (suitable for 0-3 year olds) & Child (suitable for 4-8 year olds)
  • Individually packaged in a clear PVC box w/ hang tag
JazO Shades, also available at wholesale prices, are the perfect solution to offer complete eye protection against these harmful UV rays. The shatterproof polycarbonate lenses block out 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. The soft adjustable neoprene strap keeps infant sunglasses in place.

Tucker is wearing the Child size. They fit so perfectly!
The band was not too tight or too loose - just right.
He plays tee ball and his JazoShades stay right there with him.
Highly recommended for anyone with an active baby or toddler!

Wimbledon at All England Lawn Tennis Club

Wednesday, May 14, 2008
I am not too much of a sports fan, but I love tennis! I always have been. My friend, Cat, and I really want to get more in to it this summer. Not only is tennis a great exercise to help maintain our weight loss, but it has been a dream of mine to go to The Wimbledon championship tournament that is held each year at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The tournament starts six weeks before the first Monday in August and runs for approximately two weeks. Players from more than 60 countries regularly compete each year. One can only dream of getting Wimbledon tournament tickets to this amazing event!
The Wimbledon Tennis 2008 start dates are from June 23, 3008 through July 6, 2008. If you can’t get in via Wimbledon tournament tickets, then you have to sign up to enter in a ballot or call the box office to see how you can get in. Since I know that I cannot get tickets in my life time, I will continue to sit on the side line and dream with my racquet in my hand and my tennis skirt. OK so I was kidding about the skirt.

Jitterbug Phone Service and Accessories

Wednesday, May 14, 2008
My grandparents always call me the techie of the family. I always have the most recent technology from computers to cell phones. They think I am insane with my manic texting habits and when they saw the size of my buttons on my cell phone, they just giggled. “There’s no way that my big fingers can touch one button without dialing another number!” I remember this one time they called a take out place instead of my cell phone and they just went on and on about some family gathering that was taking place. I am sure that the lady at the pizza place was like “Huh!?” After I heard about this, I immediately thought about Jitterbug. They offer excellent 24 hour customer service that helps you dial your calls for you and helps them to manage their contacts. Jitterbug's wide variety of simple phones that has bigger, backlit buttons that has bright, large text for easier viewing. The phones have powerful speaker sounds that are loud and clear. These phones are a huge hit with my grandparents. Jitterbug's phones and service is perfect for the older crowd, but can also benefit the younger generation in many ways as well. Jitterbug offers a wide variety of accessories as well.

Freshwater Pearls from The Pearl Outlet

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

What woman doesn’t love jewelry? What woman doesn’t drool over pearls? The first time that I ever wore real pearls was on my wedding day, five years ago. My grandmother placed her pearls around my neck and that feeling that I got when they were on me was indescribable. The Pearl Outlet offers pearls for all occasions and at wholesale price and what is a better wedding gift than pearls? Freshwater Pearls are the perfect gift that leaves you with a lifetime memory. Pearls are timeless presents for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and other special occasions. The Pearl Outlet is a family owned business and has been in operation since 1998.

How do you know what length is just perfect for her? A choker is approximately 16 inches and is the most classic of all the single strand lengths. The princess (18 inches) is best suited for crew and necklines. There are also the Matinee which is 20-24 inches and is best matched up for a more casual appearance. The Opera is the queen of lengths and can be worn long, or doubled up. Any way that you wear them, the Pearls will definitely make your day!

Lens Pro To Go!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

I have to praise Paul at LensPro to go! When I had an upcoming wedding, and worried about if my lenses would be good enough to shoot in the dark environment, he was there for me! I went to http://lensprotogo.com/ to look around at Nikon lenses for my D80. I rented a lens from him last summer for my first wedding, but I wasn't too confident in renting the same lens. I emailed Paul and he replied to me right away with suggestions of which lens to get for the wedding. I have to say that the lens that he suggested was AMAZING!

Thank you so much Paul! I appreciate all your help!

If you are a photographer and are in the look out to rent lenses, or even a camera body, give Paul a ring or shoot him an email.

Summer Vacations

Friday, May 09, 2008

I love summer! What is better than summer? Summer vacations! I am looking forward to our first full family vacation this summer. When I was a kid, I used to go to the beach with some family friends. To this day, they (as a family; even 30 years later) still go to the same location (Port Aransas, Texas), same beach, but each year, their family is added to (sister in law, brother in law, new baby, etc.) I really want to start a family tradition like that one day. I have friends that are in the UK and they would be able to catch a flight to New York for a great price through http://www.dialaflight.com/. How fun would it be if we all met from the US and UK for a family vacation?!

Double Duty

Chaotic. The is the only word that comes to mind when thinking about two kids, making dinner, getting the mac & cheese out of the nostrils of a two year old, trying to get Kambry fed and happy, starting Tucker's bath (trying not to forget just the right amount of Elmo bubbles), meanwhile, Kam is getting fussy. I think to myself "Oh yay. Both kids need baths, but I am too tired to get Kambry's drawn and get Tucker un-stinky'fied, so I stick Kam in the bath for a bit. Talk about double duty.
