Hubby, the kids and I went out this morning looking for Garage Sales. We found a couple, then thought ‘Uh. We have tons of stuff. Why not have one of our own?” Sooooo.. we went to the store, got some signs andgarage sale stickers. Sure, it will be nice for some extra cash, but a clutter free house is more tempting to me.
Today is being spent going through things, old toys, and even some things from our move that we don’t need or use.
Bring on the lemonade!

I LOVE going to rummages sales. My family and I always get up early on Sat. and go see if we can find so really good deals. Good luck at yours

You’re not crazy. We had one last Saturday and made around $500, but there was so much left that we decided to make one more pass through the houses and try again this Saturday. It was graduation weekend in our local town and I think that effected the crowds. What’s left goes to Goodwill.

No, you are not insane! Go for it! I had a garage sale about 2 weeks ago and I made $856 !! That is the most that I have ever made at having my garage sale. I had nothing priced over $20 and most items were between $1 and $5. Good Luck!

Oh–I forgot the whole purpose of my comment: Good luck with yours! Hope you have lots of fun!

I talked my mom into a having a few over the last few years, mostly ’cause I’d accumulated a lot of stuff and it all ended up at their house. I volunteered to be the moneytaker so she could go to the other garage sales around town, and as we always had them on community garage sales day, we had lots of people drop in and have a look. We always pulled in a few hundred bucks, which usually got split and stashed in our vacation funds. But every time, at the end of the day, as we loaded up the books and clothes that didn’t sell to go to the Goodwill, Mom would swear she’d never have another one. I always found the worst part to be pricing everything. And the people who wander into the garage in the first five minutes you’re open and offer you $20 for an antique you’ve got a $50 sticker on.

This is why I wish we didn’t live in an apartment! Luckily, I’m moving where some friends live across the street and we’ve already discussed a garage sale!

Oh I love getting ready for garage sales just as much as I like going to them!! there is just something about haggling people that gets the juices flowing
And a clean, clutter free house is a good incentive too(not to mention the $$$).

Kinda crazy…just kidding! I love to get rid of clutter, too! Quite an endeavor but so worth it! And the extra cash will be fun, too!;) I’ve never had a garage sale, though. I just can’t stand the clutter and have to get rid of stuff as soon as I can, so I never seem to have enough at one time to do a sale! Let us know how it goes!

I love rummage sales!!!
But is certainly is easier to go to them than to have one. I am having one next weekend so keep your fingers crossed for me too!
