Amelia DVDWho doesn’t love a good movie night, all cozy and cuddled up at home? There is a movie that came out in February that I have been really excited to watch!

Experience the romance, struggle and triumph of legendary aviatrix Amelia Earhart as she chases love and lives her dreams in Amelia, landing on Blu-ray Disc with Digital Copy and DVD February 2 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Hailed as “The Queen of the Air,” Amelia boldly flew into the annals of history with her solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. Bound by ambition and love, her enduring marriage to George Putnam could not be broken by her determination to fly, or a secret passionate affair. Equal parts gripping drama, stirring romance and epic adventure, Amelia will take your breath away and send your spirit soaring!

This movie was dramatic, funny and heartbreaking. We all know the ‘story line’ of Amelia Earhart, but this story did bring in some new insight about her and her journey through life and venture through America’s History.

The only thing I wasn’t ‘fond of’, as a woman and as a wife, was Amelia’s portray for her lack of committing to her marriage, but hey, everyone’s life is different! Overall, the movie was a good story, fascinating to witness part of America’s history and one that we will watch again.

    I would love to see the movie ‘Amelia’! Amelia Earhart was a fascinating, determined, and courageous woman. Mystery still surrounds her life and death. I realize that the movie is ‘historical fiction’ and not a true documentary of Amelia’s life, but I would like to see the drama and romance played out between Hilary Swank and Richard Gere and see how the movie portrays their part in American History. I enjoy watching Hilary Swank and think she was a good choice to play Amelia. The first movie in which I saw Richard Gere was ‘Pretty Woman’ and I have been a great fan of his ever since.

    Amelia Earheart has always interested me. She was a strong woman who followed her bliss, even though it ran counter to what was considered the “norm” for women in her time. I would also love to see this movie because I’m a fan of Richard Gere. And my husband loves his hair. Really. ;-)

    I saw Amelia at the theatre. I enjoyed it, both the story and the acting. But thru it all I had my own feelings that Amy Adam made a better Amelia in the Smithsonian movie. I would have rather seen her in the lead role.

    I have yet to see this movie.. Seems interesting though. Haven’t seen Hilary Swank in a movie in a long time!
