Have fun & learn more about each other with Around the Table Games! *Giveaway*

logoGames are fun, but when you can get around each other, sit, relax and have fun while getting to KNOW each other more – that is even better! Hubby and I have ‘porch time’ as often as we can. This time of year, it’s pretty rare due to his schedule, but when we are able to have that ‘porch time’ (our time along, on the deck, kids in bed, just chatting) we like to talk about random things. I cannot tell you how much I adore Around the Table Games. We are able to sit on the deck, talk and LEARN about each other even more than we ever thought. I mean.. come on, its not every day where you can ask random questions like “If everyone in your family became dogs, what kind of dogs would they be, and why”. Seriously! Who comes up with this! These are just about as random as I am in the car on a road trip. I always annoy hubby with random face expressions or questions so these are GREAT!

All are truly great, but Family Talk is the first one that I had a chance to check out. I love it. I adore it. I love them ALL!

Well in addition to what I already mentioned, I think these cards would be great to get to know each other and ourselves better. Example: What makes you feel most welcomed when you get home? (taken from one of the cards above). Well off hand, I’d say for my husband it would be for the rest of us to stop what we’re doing and actually greeting him. But I seriously doubt that anyone knows what would make ME feel most welcomed when I got home. I’d love for them to know. :)

  87. 15
    Badger Momma says:

I think this is a great idea for a game/conversation starter. We don’t have a designated ‘game night’ or ‘family night’, we just loosely do it whenever. We have a variety of folks over almost all the time, of various age groups. Grandparents, us, teenagers (ours and her friends), our younger kids, our friends, etc. We usually gather around the table at some point and play cards, board games, or things like Taboo. We’d have a great time working off of these cards. Also, they’d come in handy in the car. I’m always driving the kids somewhere and I could just pull these out and get the conversation going!

The Grandparent Talk would be great because I have 2 of my grandchildren living with me and I think this would really help our dinner conversation. I’m always asking them about their day and what they like. This would be a nice way for them to know about me. Thank you!

Wow, the games have won a lot of awards! I’d love Family Talk to inspire dinner conversation. My husband grew up in a home where all they did was eat at meal time. I grew up in a talking home so I have to teach him how to incorporate conversation into eating. LOL
