I am always looking for things to do with the kids. It’s like a never ending process to find projects that don’t bore them 5 minutes in to the project. When we received Bendaroos, Tucker saw the box and immediately said “Hey! I saw that on TV!” What are Bendaroos? They are long, waxy strips that come in a fun variety of colors. You can bend them in to place to make things ranging from popsicles, spiders, play cupcakes and more.
Bendaroos are “flexible bending sticks“. Basically it’s a no mess toy. Waxy, pliable and colorful sticks, they can bend and be molded into various shapes. There is a fun paper that is included that shows a lot of fun suggestions on what you can make. Each “box” come with 500 colorful sticks for your kids to build with.
Here are some pictures showing you what we received and them in action.

Tucker is 3 ½ and had a blast with these! Kambry is 18 months old and was right there, next to her brother working on things.
From a parent’s point of view:
- I had a lot of fun with these, and I am 33. I made a popsicle. I was proud.
- I think the price for this set is reasonable for the fun that is included. 500 sticks are included, so that is nice!
- Our fingers were left a little waxy feeling after we were done playing, but that is ok, we always clean up after play or art time, so that is nothing new for us.
- My suggestion for this set would be for it to include a container that would be easy to separate the bendaroos after they are done being played with, so that the next time they are played with, they are in their own separated sections of a container. We use a long Tupperware type container with a lid for storage.

how do you clean off the wax that ends up covering every surface and object that these things touch. Our table and windows are covered with sticky wax that won’t scrub off, even with an abrasive scrub sponge. does no one else have this problem? are ours defective because they leave behind such a difficult to clean up mess?
