Yes. I was ‘one of them’ this morning. I have never, in my life, been out on a Black Friday before. I have pretty much outlawed it and told myself that I will never be one that gets up at 3am to find the best deals. While I have not been feeling the best for a few days from a bronchial infection in my lungs, I wanted to get myself in bed early last night and was up at 4:00am this morning. My alarm buzzes at 4:00 this morning.. I hit snooze. 4:30 it goes off again and I get up, toss on some clothes and head out the door. Uh. My van was frozen. Yeah. Stuck. Frozen. Windows foggy and iced over. I started the van and went back inside so my car could thaw. 10 minutes later, I get in the van (Burrr!) and head to Sam’s. I was there by 5:10am and I am SO glad I went!
When I got to Sam’s, I walked in and was immediately excited. There were cars in the parking lot, but nothing like I had expected. I was seriously dreading going to Sam’s because I don’t like to fight crowds. Since I have a Plus Membership, I was able to go before the public was invited. I walked in the door, there were people already in line, but the store was pleasant!
Upon my arrival, I saw that Sam’s had breakfast ready! I was starved and the sight of seeing muffins, yogurt, juice, water & other drinks, along with one of the employees was getting Jimmy Dean hot sausage biscuits ready for people really made my day and my entire trip worth waking up at 4:30am.
I tweeted about this while I was at the store, but I have to share it here. I was seriously laughing at this guy, and a few others in the store. He had gone back with a second cart to get a second 50 inch TV. While the deals on the big screen TV’s were good, there were people buying 3 and 4 of them at a time. I would not want that bill. 
What did I walk away with? I am so excited to have stuck to my guns and walked away with two items. “The Bee Movie” on DVD for around $8.00 and a dual screen DVD player from Phillips for $99.00.

I don’t ever go out on Black Friday… I do almost ALL my shopping on line. I have Social Anxiety Disorder. Don’t do well in regular crowds, let along with the crazy people!!

Mine wasn’t packed either, which I was so happy about. I don’t usually dare to head out on Black Friday either. But it wasn’t too bad!
