When you think about Radio Flyer, what do you think about? I used to think of it as tricycles for the little ones. When I found out that Radio Flyer had scooters for ages 3 – 7, I was pretty excited to check out what they had. Radio Flyer not only has scooters, but they have custom scooters called Build-A-Scooter.
The Build-A-Scooter program allows families to choose a color and deck graphic for their child’s high performance 3-wheel scooter to create the perfect ride. Additional accessories personalize the scooter even more to give it that extra flair:
- Light-up wheels
- Storage bag
- Over 250+ combinations!
We started out with creating Kambry’s custom scooter by visiting www.RadioFlyer.com, and I have to say, it was pretty easy and quite a bit of fun to make.
It’s super easy to get started. Click on the get started link and from there, you can choose from so many options. First, you’ll start with the base color of the scooter itself.
We chose purple. Once you choose your main color, you can choose between two styles. One is a circle pattern and the other is kind of like a pixel pattern.
Once you choose your pattern, you can add so many different things.
- Speed activated light-up wheels
- Storage case
Or you can add them all for one low price. That’s what we did!
If you want to customize it even more, you can add the chid’s name.
When we got the scooter, it was so easy to put together. Literally all we had to do was put the wheels on, pop in the streamers on the handlebars and snap on the front pouch. Kambry is 7 and LOVES everything about this scooter. It’s rides so smooth, the wheels light up for even more fun.
We love the Build-A-Scooter and will be buying one for a Christmas gift. The Build-A-Scooter is available only at RadioFlyer.com and ranges in price from $49.99 – $89.99 depending on selected features and is great for kids 3-7.
