My father despite his gruff nature was both pro-choice and supported access for women to obtain contraception. When he passed away, he made provisions for a donation to PP. A few years ago, I supported SGK for their strides at the time toward breast cancer research etc. Like you, Tanya, my support of SGK ENDED when their political nonsense came to mind. PP is non-partisan no matter how anti-abortion forces and others like them choose to portray PP. Like you, I understand the sensitive nature of the services provided. They SAVE PEOPLE'S LIVES and provide support as needed. They don't ask about politics, religion, salary etc. Once that can be understood and appreciated, support for PP will grow. I stand with you on your views about SGK. They tempted fate and to their detriment learned a hard lesson. I have supported PP for a long time. They never really meant to cut the funding, they just wanted the foundation to be in the media for a few days. Free publicity! All they had to do was walk into a clinic... they wouldnt see young women lined up for abortions, they would see young women there for affordable healthcare and help. I do think Komen does do some good- were it not for them , some women couldnt get the care they needed when breast cancer is found. Many are helped get mammograms and surgeries/prosthetics. My store has not gotten in any new stock in about a year. They still have some dark foundation (40) to get rid of, and maybe a few lipsticks and nail polishes in less desirable colors. The skin care is great too. And so cheap! I guess maybe that's the problem. People thought that anything so cheap could not possibly be good. I'd love to be able to find the foundation and pressed powder somewhere. I loaded up on the toner, night and day eye cream, and CQ10 skin cream. I love the Lacura line too.
