Mix up some great recipes with the Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor

I grew up in a household where my mother was always canning something, making something from scratch or blending the best salsa ever. While I have never been that Betty Crocker, I have been doing a lot lately to get in to that mode. It’s amazing to see how much you really CAN save by making your own things, verses buying pre made items from the store like salsa, spaghetti sauce, curry sauce, fruit sorbet and even something as simple as shredded cheese.

My kitchen life has officially changed for the better with the Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor. I had a tiny food processor way many years ago, but it didn’t do anything compared to this one from the Elite Collection!

I don’t really have a ‘recipe’ to share with you, other than I canned my own tomatoes, and used those along with some garden bell peppers, hot peppers (about 4 different kind), a clove of garlic, and I used purple onion for this batch of Salsa. I, personally, do not eat Salsa, but hubby was there to taste test and I was able get it to how he likes it. This batch of salsa got hubby’s seal of approval!

Make you hungry for Salsa?

Not only can we make salsa with the Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor, we shred cheese in about half a second flat for a half pound block of cheese. No more slaving over the cheese grater!

I am experimenting with Spaghetti Sauce, so Ill post a recipe once I get it taste tested the way I like.

With the holiday season coming up, I am very excited to be able to make a lot of things with the Cuisinart Elite Collection Food Processor such as pie fillings and even making some homemade stuffing for Thanksgiving!

I love that there are 3 bowls that come with this food processor. Why the need for 3 bowls? Well, you can have your items in separate bowls, ready to blend, without having to run to wash your main bowl each time, blend again. It saves you tons of time!

Be on the lookout all this holiday season for new recipes with the Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor!

We just got the 12-cup Elite (release in September) in the RainyDayKitchen yesterday.

Here is a quick look at all the pieces:

Will have the FirstLook and FirstUse write-ups posted in a week or so. Our first impressions were: lots of accessories, excellent construction, and great looks!

Don’t you love it when they update gadgets for the kitchen so they are easier to work with and there is more you can do with them?
It then encourages you to want to branch out and make things with them, which saves you money and your family eats much healthier!
