Urinary Pain Relief with Cystex *Giveaway*

ureter_pictI cannot tell you how many Urinary Tract, bladder and kidney infections I have had in my life. Too many to count and in fact, I have had 3 surgeries to do an ‘exploratory’ surgery to see why I would get them all the time. Come to find out, I had a reflux in one of my ureters. I would not wish the pain of a urinary infection on anyone. Not fun at all! Well, one thing I would do if I felt a urinary infection coming on, was take an over the counter medication if I was not able to get in right away to the doctor. The main one that I count on is Cystex. I counted on it then and I still rely on it to this day!

Physician and pharmacist-recommended Cystex® Urinary Pain Relief Tablets is the only over-the-counter (OTC) medication that has a dual-action formula to help manage urinary tract infections (UTIs) while waiting to see a doctor. Unlike other drug store medicines, Cystex® helps to relieve the pain and burning associated with a urinary tract infection (UTI) while also inhibiting the progression of the infection with an antibacterial. It is the only OTC urinary pain relief medicine to combine a key pain-fighting analgesic, sodium salicylate, with an effective antibacterial agent, methenamine, to help stop the pain and progression of a urinary tract infection (UTI). Additionally, Cystex® will not change the color of the urine as some other OTC medications will.

There are so many things that we can help control to prevent getting a UTI, but face it – once we feel it coming on, chances are, we need some help to ease the pain. Cystex is there to help!

I wanted to share with you a newly launched an online initiative on Cystex.com called “Cystex Know Your Bladder Better” where we are hoping to directly connect women with a board-certified urologist to learn more about UTIs.
Cystex is working with Elizabeth Kavaler, M.D., one of 500 female urologists in the United States specializing in female urinary tract issues and author of “A Seat on the Aisle, Please! The Essential Guide to Urinary Tract Problems in Women,” (Copernicus Books, 2006). Dr. Kavaler helped produce a series of videos discussing various topics about urinary tract health.
