Currently looking for a Dining Table! *Need suggestions!*

We have a dining table, not that we really eat at it since we have the bar area in the kitchen, but I am really looking at getting one and hopefully around the 1st of the year. I have had my eye on the taller tables like this one from Sam’s Club.

It’s less than $300 too! for all the pieces!

Do you have a tall dining table? Do you like it? Would you recommend one? I don’t want something too big. At first I thought I wanted the shorter type with a bench, but my eye is leaning more towards the taller ones like this one.

Any suggestions?

I love the bench ones myself, but my hubby and I are also 5’3. A few of our friends have the taller ones and for me personally it’s difficult because my feet end up going to sleep from hanging there before I am even done eating. But they are nice tables and a big space saver that looks good too!

My daughter has one of the tall tables sets. The tall chairs can be a problem for toddlers. The chairs can tip easily. Also, when the older kids are goofing around like when they play games the chairs have tipped over. I have short legs so the chairs aren’t comfortable for me to sit in since my feet don’t touch the ground.

Also watch the size of the table. Hers is a little too big for the area it is in. She wishes now she had gone with an oval shape with leaves that can come out.

    T,
We got our table this summer – it is a tall table with a marble top and I LOVE IT!! I would never own a small one again. Here is a picture of mine, but it does not do it justice: http://momof2boyswifeof1.blogspot.com/2009/06/bathtubs-sectionals-and-missing-in.html

    Have fun shopping.

I so want a tall table…my husband, not so much. You think he’d be all for it being 6’8″ tall.

I don’t know if your kids climb on the chairs like my Paige does, and I can see that being a problem. That girl is constantly falling from the chairs. I can only imagine what it would be like with tall chairs.

I think they look great…and that table pictured is really cute!

I have one of the taller ones similar to the one in the photo. I think it is a very stylish addition to any living space and I truly enjoy mine!!
