- Phineas & Ferb
- Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas
Right out of the packaging, we were thrilled with what we saw. It is a bit heavier than I was expecting, but no doubt that this is very well made.
This has so much detail put in to Perry’s ‘do on top, so the eyes and bill (nose). The button looking item on the mouth is the light and power switch. When it’s on, the light it lit. When it’s off, the light is off.
When you unzip the iHome speaker, there is a section for the batteries. This takes 4 AA size batteries. We have been using this for a week and we have Rayovac’s rechargables in it, and there’s still plenty of power left.
You take the cord and plug in in the iPod (or iPhone) where you’d plug in your headphones.
Take the included plastic piece, look on either side and face the words down for iPhone or iPod touch use.
Use the Velcro strap, secure, close and you are ready to roll with Perry!
The front has a clear plastic cover on it so that your little one can use the touch feature of the iPhone or iPod touch.
The zipper has a strap on it, which becomes a carrying handle. I love this feature because my kids can securely hold on to the iHome speaker if they are moving around the house.
Overall – we LOVE Disney’s iHome Weather-Resistant Speakers! This retails for just under $40.00 and I’d highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a gift; for a girl or boy. Don’t have an iPod touch or iPhone? It’s ok – with the stereo jack, you can use literally anything with a headphone jack. The kids have another MP3 player that they use when they are playing outside, that has all their favorite songs on it, and they love to use this while they are in their fort or tree house. The speaker sound is amazing; far better than I expected! I ended up using this a few days ago while I was upstairs building a closet for my youngest. I wanted something with speakers, so I used the kids iHome speaker. Worked beautifully!
