Fun & Healthy snacks from Dole: Fruit in Sugar-free Gel *Yummy Giveaway!*

hnav_bannerEvery day, after naps, we have snack time. It is my way of making sure the kids have nice, refreshing naps. They look forward to waking up and having snacks (or as Kam calls them ‘nacks!’). One of my favorite snacks that I love to give the kids is Dole Fruit Cups. The brand new Dole Fruit in Sugar-free Gel lets you take the delicious taste of real fruit wherever you go, whether after a work-out or when you’re out running errands. It’s a fun and healthy snack that fits your busy lifestyle. I cannot even begin to express how much my family loves these! We love Dole fruit, but with the Sugar-free Gel, this is a huge plus for me.

The Sugar-free Gels have far fewer calories and sugar than other Gel competitors and come in two brand new varieties:

  • Pineapple in Strawberry Sugar-free Gel: 70 calories, 5 grams of sugar, 1 carbohydrate exchange (based on American Diabetes Association, American Dietetic Association)
  • BRAND NEW – Mixed Fruit in Cherry Sugar-free Gel: 70 calories, 5 grams of sugar, 1 carbohydrate exchange (based on American Diabetes Association, American Dietetic Association)

Its sweetened primarily with maltitol, a corn-based, natural sweetener which contains no additives or artificial ingredients

This week, we had a fun party up at Tucker’s preschool with kids that all fell in love with the Dole Fruit in Sugar-free Gel cups. We had a great turn out and a lot of fun!

We usually just grab random healthy items out of the cupboard for snack time. Sometimes nuts, raisins, crackers. My kids love it when I arrange them in a face pattern on their plates.

snack time at my house is always a variety of things, it could be jello, pudding, graham crackers, yogurt, a fresh fruit like a banana, a cookie and milk-basically a different thing every day to keep it from getting boring and keep it interesting. I try to make it as healthy as I can, but there are some days when she will get a treat-just not every day. These fruit bowls look great, we already eat the mandarin oranges from Dole and she loves those. (but her brother often gets them before she does!)

We have had these Dole snacks for snack recently. They are great. I like to serve whole grain crackers or pretsils with cheese. Sometimes we do celery with peanut butter. Grapes are a bit hit or apples. I have to be ready, because right after school everyday I have starving kids. Blessings
