Dyson DC25 Animal

When it comes to having my home clean, we feel so much better. With my chronic bronchial asthma, hubby’s allergies, having two small kids in our home and one cat, we are always looking for ways to help all of us, meanwhile allowing our home to be clean for guests. We have had a vacuum for years now that has been nothing but a big hunk of nothing. We vacuumed with it because we had nothing else, not realizing what it did NOT pick up. Having small kids that play, crawl, roll around on the floor, I do think about what they are rolling around on, but not once did I think it was to the extent that it was… until I used the Dyson DC25 Animal. My life and perception has completely changed 200%. I have to agree completely with Trisha at MomDot….. She said something along the lines that way back when, women would complain when they received an appliance or vacuum. Guess what? I would love for a Dyson to be a gift to me… in a heart beat!.

Would you let your little ones run around on floors that you KNEW had this muck on it?

I know that I would not want or like my kids running around on floors that have this in it, but how are we to know unless we have a powerful machine that is able to SHOW us what we have been lacking? I took these pictures after vacuuming my dining room. JUST my dining room, and these were after I had already vacuumed with ‘the other one’.

When we received the Dyson DC25 Animal, I was in tears. Literally! Yes, I hugged the box when it arrived. I sat on the floor (my dirty floor, at that) just gazing at the box. I was so excited to know that my children would be able to play on clean floors and that I would actually enjoy cleaning with such an amazing piece of work. We have had the same vacuum for about 7 years now. I blame hubby since it was a gift to him right after we met. To be honest with you, we really did not ‘think’ that we needed something else. We did not think that until we met the DC25 Animal. I have never experienced Dyson before, but being able to compare the DC25 Animal to another brand was quite an experience!

This 16 pound beast (I mean that in a GREAT way!) has a cord length of 24 feet which works wonders for being able to vacuum and maneuver around the kids. They like to chase the vacuum while we have it out. LOL!We live in a 2 story home, so because of the Dyson DC25 Animal, I do not dread toting my vacuum up and down the stairs. With our old vacuum, I would just leave the upstairs until hubby would drag it up and down. Hey, any way to get them to clean, right? Ha!

Here are some key features of this bad boy:

  • Mini turbine head
Cleans pet hair and dirt from tight spaces such as upholstery, stairs and the car.
  • Ball™ technology
Steers smoothly with a turn of the wrist.
  • Root Cyclone™ technology
Patented Dyson technology that doesn’t lose suction power as you vacuum.
  • Quick-draw Telescope Reach™ wand
Single-action wand with instant 16ft reach for stair and high-reach cleaning.
  • Certified asthma friendly
Unlike ordinary vacuums, Dyson is certified asthma & allergy friendly™ according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
  • Lifetime washable HEPA filter
    Designed to trap microscopic allergens.
  • Motorized brush bar
Powerful bristles remove dirt and pet hair from carpets.
  • Hygienic and quick to empty
Minimizes risk of contact with dirt.

More features that still, to this day, blow my mind away:

  • Lightweight
  • Clear bin™
  • On board accessory tools
  • Fingertip brush control
  • Auto-adjusting height

What makes Dyson vacuums different?

  • Technology
A Dyson vacuum cleaner uses Root Cyclone™ technology so it never loses suction.
  • No extra costs
With a Dyson cleaner there are no bags or filters to buy, so no extra costs
  • Expels cleaner air
Air expelled from a Dyson cleaner has 150x less mold and bacteria than the air you breathe.
