Dyson DC25 BluePrint Limited Edition *Love it!* (Video Review)

I have asthma. Hubby has allergies and the kids are sensitive to just about everything. When it comes to my floors being clean, there is a brand that I have trusted for over a year now: Dyson. I am excited to share with you a Limited Edition Dyson DC25 that was just released and I had the pleasure to check it out.

DC25 Blueprint

DC25 Blueprint – Limited Edition
Dyson DC25 BLUEPRINT is a limited edition Dyson Ball™ upright vacuum cleaner that celebrates engineers. It comes with a Flat Out™ head for cleaning thoroughly under low furniture and appliances.

Ball™ technology
These Dyson upright machines ride on a ball so you can steer with ease – no more push/pull around corners and obstacles.

Having a 2 story house, plus a basement, we are always toting the vacuum up the stairs, down the stairs and everywhere that there is a mess. The main thing I love about the Dyson DC25 Blueprint is its weight. I don’t have to break my back to tote the vacuum up and down the stairs. This used to be a dreaded event of cleaning upstairs because our old vacuum weighed a ton.

I wanted to show you the difference in the Dyson DC25 Animal and the Dyson DC25 Blueprint. The main difference with the Animal is it comes with a cleaner head with a motorized brushbar. The DC24 and DC25 Blueprint come with a flat head tool that makes it so easy to get under furniture and is a breeze with hard floors or floors (like our entry way) that has thin carpet that the main vacuum may not pick up.

If you are wondering about the Dyson, please watch this video. It will show you what all is picked up with this bad boy.

Here is what was picked up, just in my living room. Seriously, this makes me want to go bathe. Yuck!

I swear – we vacuum every week, yet the Dyson still picks up muck that is in the carpet. Yuck!

I love: lightweight, looks great, attachments available, suction, guarantee, support – What is not to love about the Dyson DC25 Blueprint (or any Dyson)? I love that it has the ‘Ball Technology’. This makes it easy to maneuver around furniture, chairs, kids. The suction simply amazes me beyond belief! Another thing that sparks this mom’s interest is that there are no bags to buy, so no additional cost is involved with owning a Dyson. I love that once the bin is full, you empty. How do you know it’s full? You can SEE it. No need to guess if the bag is full because there isn’t a bag. You can see all you need to know right in the bin. No need to worry with having to buy replacement bags or filters. We used to have a vacuum that had expensive bags. It was so hard to find bags locally and online, so we weren’t vacuuming as much as we should have been. Dyson makes it to where you don’t have to worry with that extra expense. Most of us are on budgets, so this is perfect! The accessories that come with it (brushes) are perfect for anything from tight spots in your home, stairs, flat surfaces, even to vacuum off your mattress top. Yes – we tried this and it was amazing to see what all came out of our mattress. All in all – this is the vacuum for just about any home with or without kids… with or without pets.

I have the regular DC25 Animal (a housewarming gift/late wedding gift from some friends) and I LOVE it. I knew I’d love having a Dyson ’cause I’d talked my mom into getting one when her Electrolux finally kicked the bucket, and I couldn’t stop sweeping her house. I love seeing all the fur/hair/dust the Dyson picks up.

The only problems I’ve found are:

The head isn’t as easy to clean as other vacuums I’ve had, so I highly recommend cutting off the hair that gets wrapped around the brush roller about once a month.

And the hard floor attachment doesn’t work as well as I’d like–I use it mostly in the utility room where we keep the cat’s litterbox and all those crystals tend to scoot out of the way of the head. I think it’s because the suction is so strong it holds it pretty tight to the floor (using the hose, you’ll notice a bit of collapse from the suction).
