Dyson DC25 transforms into robot for Transformers *Dyson DC25 Giveaway!*

by Tanya on June 19, 2009

in Closed Contests, Dyson, Product Reviews

dysonthumI cannot tell you what a mega fan my son is of Transformers! On Wednesday, June 24th, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is out in theaters and guess what one of the characters will be? Well, ta-daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah…. Dyson’s powerful vacuum, the DC25.

Dyson, the muchly-loved English company, is rather proud of their DC25 model, an upright vacuum cleaner using their famous ball technology to suck the dirt right out of carpets. It’s not the only thing the DC25 can do however, with the bright yellow machine also transforming into a naughty Decepticon robot in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Check out one of the stories here

Aren’t these just the coolest drawings???

I love that it is certified asthma and allergy friendly since I too have asthma an allergies. I’ve always wanted to try this vacuum an now hopefully I can. I love the technology.

I like their root cyclone technology. I also like that they are proud of their failures – that means they are that much closer to their “out of the box” successful ideas. This Dyson vac would help our household a lot! We all have allergies, plus we have 2 dogs, and we live in the worst section of the country for allergies. Thanks for the chance to win this marvelous invention!

7 Linsay Cocker June 23, 2009 at 10:51 am

Doh, I love that the dyson can roll on the ball, it will help me to get in the corners that are normally neglected. We have the Dyson D14 but I have been eying the D25.

8 Shirley Brown June 23, 2009 at 10:50 am

Wow, this is one of the best prizes in a long time. I have wanted one of these for a long time!

Dyson vacuums are by far the best. I don’t have one but would love to own one. I like the style & colors that they come in. They have tremendous suction power – my vacuum barely works & i think it leaves most of the dog hair on the rug. Bagless is a plus. Overall, I think they are wonderful – but, just too expensive for me to buy right now. Winning one would be awesome!

11 Linsay Cocker June 23, 2009 at 10:47 am

I love both how maneuverable and light the Dyson DC25 is and it would be so great to have a vacuum cleaner that fit in my hall closet.

18 andy June 23, 2009 at 8:46 am

I learned that Cleaner exhaust air Dyson uprights are certified asthma & allergy friendly™ by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
The air expelled from a Dyson vacuum has up to 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air you breathe. my husband has allergys so this would be a great vacuum for us.

31 Melissa @Mel4Him June 23, 2009 at 6:40 am

For some reason my home creates a lot of dust. The Dyson would be an excellent benefit to my home because it is lightweight so instead of lugging around my 15 year old canister vac I could actually vacuum more often and stay on top of these dust bunny pests all over my home. Plus I love that is has great suction capabilities, and it picks up more dust, dirt and allergens.

Everything about the Dyson DC25 is spectacular! Every square inch of this vacuum is to be admired with it’s built in technology, features and functions. I love that it’s an all floor vacuum and has Ball™ technology so that it steers smoothly with a turn of the wrist. More of the features I love are the: Quick-draw Telescope Reach™ wand, and the Lifetime washable HEPA filter. This is a must have, everything to dream about vacuum of all vacuums. I love that Dyson has such a wide range of spectacular products and how easy it is to get the parts and acessories you need. The Dyson DC25 would help my family with it’s versatility and power. The fact that it’s an all floor vacuum, has amazing power to get up even pet hair and a HEPA filter to help cut down on allergens makes this a vacuum my family could really use.

62 Laura June 22, 2009 at 4:59 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dyson vacuums!! I can’t say it enough! I have the older Dyson D14. My hose separated from the handle, and so far I’ve just used Duct Tape to hold it together and it still works great! I need to order a new hose, but wouldn’t have to if I win this newer Dyson! I would definitely keep my older Dyson too, but it would be passed on to cleaning duties at our rental houses or another person in need of an awesome vacuum!! (Oh I would get a new hose before I passed it on) We have dogs and keeping our ebony wood floors and rugs clean is a challenge! But vacuuming with the Dyson makes it easier! I could go on and on about how much I love Dyson! But I will stop now! Thanks for such a great giveaway!

64 Aaron B from IL June 22, 2009 at 4:04 pm

I really like the ball that the dyson’s have make steering a lot easier than the standard vacuum. This will help me out because it seems like I go through vacuum cleaners a lot. I have been in my apartment for barely two years and am on my third vacuum.

65 Stacey June 22, 2009 at 3:42 pm

Great, I need a new vacuum. This one is GREAT!!!!

66 debi welbon June 22, 2009 at 3:14 pm

I would have to say the best feature would be (besides quick and easy to use) that it is lightweight not would not be something you would have to lug around..

68 Debbie D June 22, 2009 at 2:01 pm

70 stacie June 22, 2009 at 1:23 pm

I love the fact that they do not lose suction. With a border collie this is a must in any vacuum that we own.
It is also awesome that they are bagless. Because vacuum bags suck to change.

72 Carrie June 22, 2009 at 12:49 pm

i live in a tiny condo with lots of furniture, and it’s very hard to vacuum and navigate around everything- this would work well since it’s so easy to steer around things! And I have two cats and two kids under the age of 2, I need a good vacuum!

73 Christy W. June 22, 2009 at 12:27 pm

I like that its so light weight because I have a bad back. So something light is really important to me.

I was just thinking about looking into a new vacuum for the house so this would be a dream come true! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com

76 Tarah June 22, 2009 at 12:19 pm

77 tung ton June 22, 2009 at 11:48 am

constant suction to keep the nasties from me, my husband, & cat too!

78 Susan S. June 22, 2009 at 10:57 am

I love the new ball design and how the DC25 with the ball technology can turn and move so easily!
I currently own a dyson, but would LOVE the new DC25 with the ball. That would make vacuuming under and around all the furniture so much quicker and easier ;-)

LOVE DYSON! <3

With four kids, three dogs and a cat, I’d put that Dyson sucking power to the test. The shedding from the animals is out of control in the summer and I’ve heard Dyson’s never lose their sucking power and are the best for pet hair pickups.

85 Mary M June 22, 2009 at 8:32 am

I would really like the fingertip brush control. I have a lot of area rugs, and it would be nice to turn off the brush until I get “up onto” the rug.

86 Lauren June 22, 2009 at 8:27 am

I love that the suction/flow isn’t impeeded as the vacuum fills up… that’s a big problem with our current vac! We have a baby on the way and I want to make sure everything is nice & clean.

87 Mary B June 22, 2009 at 8:03 am

There seem to be so many things to like about Dyson i.e suction that never breaks, roll on a dime, but most of all I like that it is asthma and allergy certified and made for people with pets. These features alone make it a great vacuum cleaner

The Dyson animal would be a blessing for us because we have 3 cats and a baby and the fact that it can get pet hair that finds its way EVERYWHERE is something that really would set this mom’s mind at ease about my 9 month old being all over the floor!

111 pismogirl June 21, 2009 at 9:32 pm

I think that it will help my family with the brush picking up all the pet dander.

112 Wendi June 21, 2009 at 9:07 pm

I have asthma and allergy, two kids under 3, and a cat.. and we live in an apartment with wall-to-wall carpeting. Dyson’s strong suction and hepa filter will surely make our life healthier (and easier too!).

113 Katherine Gray June 21, 2009 at 8:39 pm

I love that Dyson never loses suction and is so good about picking up pet hair! Our cats shed everywhere.

114 Michael Capp June 21, 2009 at 8:36 pm

The pivoting ball for maneuverability around furniture and household items, in addition to its’ ability to remove dust and allergens would be a wonderful addition in this house!

115 Kelly Smith June 21, 2009 at 8:04 pm

I really like the high-torque clutch idea. Maybe that will help get even more dirt out!

116 Julee E June 21, 2009 at 7:27 pm

Just the fact that it is bagless, and can turn on a dime is worth everything!! Thanks for the opportunity to win this!

117 Janet Mahurin June 21, 2009 at 7:20 pm

124 Katherine D. June 21, 2009 at 5:34 pm

Hard to single out one thing I like – but I’d have to say the washable HEPA filter – because we have heavy allergies in our household AND two cats (I know, I know…)!

125 Jacob June 21, 2009 at 3:59 pm

I like the fact that it is so light weight. Ours is really old and weighs a ton. Also, we have cats and the Dyson would really help with the dander

126 David Gresh June 21, 2009 at 3:45 pm

I like the five year warranty and that it will work on any floor. We will have to flip a coin to see who will use it. Goodbye all that dog hair we have to brush off our clothes!

127 ron June 21, 2009 at 3:40 pm

my favorite feature is the name because it might motivate my nephew to help vacuum since he loves the transformers

128 Sandi Smith June 21, 2009 at 3:33 pm

Recently, I have been the recipient of arthritis. I now need lightweight items for my hands to manipulate. This Dyson that weighs in at 16 pounds fits the bill.

129 Sharon Franks-Rivard June 21, 2009 at 2:41 pm

What I like about Dyson is that it is a family owned company and that they offer support for their products after the sales. That’s important if I should have any questions or need accesories. Happy Dad’s Day Gentlemen…

I have arthritis, so being lightweight and easily maneuverable is important to me. I, also, have asthma, allergies, and 2 dogs and a cat who all shed. I vacuum frequently, so it would be a big help if I had the Dyson. I think I’d be able to accomplish more in a day to help my family if it were easier on me to vacuum and keep that pet hair under control.

162 amber June 21, 2009 at 12:48 am

I really like that it removes allergens that would help my family. Everyone in my family have allegy problems and my grandma has asthma. There are two cat, and a dog in the house that causes some of the allergy problems, but I don’t want to get rid of them.

163 Alicia June 21, 2009 at 12:42 am

Dyson engineers spent three years developing DC28 Animal with advanced Airmuscle™ technology. It combines three technologies: a powered cam, a pneumatic actuator, and a high-torque clutch – each precisely adjusting the cleaner head to thoroughly clean every floor surface. And, like all Dyson vacuums, it doesn’t lose suction.

I have mostly hard wood floors, this would help with them.

Honestly, I love the Ball Technology the most…I have never even thought about a vacuum being able to move every which way-that would be so much more convenient than back and forth only! Plus, we have half hardwood and half carpet in our house, so it’s great to know that one vacuum would clean it all. I have had a loaner vacuum from my parents for a year or more…and I really really really want a Dyson but cannot afford it-even though it seems every single person I know has one & says it’s the best vacuum they have ever had-ever! So it would be nice to finally have a vacuum cleaner-much less the best vacuum in the world! :-) thanks

171 tracy davis June 20, 2009 at 11:02 pm

My sister is allergic to my two cats. The fact that Dyson cleaners are allergy certified means she can visit more often and stay longer.

I love that there’s a 7.5 meter cord, amongst all the other goodness that comes with a Dyson; I find it discouraging to vacuum when you have to unplug and replug halfway across the room or down the hall.

My husband and I just bought a new house; we move in two weeks. And with the new house, we’re getting a kitten, so besides my long hair we’ll have two cats shedding. My mom got a Dyson a couple years ago and I LOVED it; I’ve been telling my husband since we got married that I’d vacuum regularly if we got a Dyson. I don’t think he believes me, but with a Dyson you just can’t help it.

I miss feeling like I’m walking on clean floors.

What I love about Dysons in general are their lifetime guarantees never to lose suction. I have gone through so many vacuums that have only lasted about 2 years each, and then one day they will stop sucking things up or the suction will become incredibly weak. If I had a Dyson, it would make vacuuming hard-to-reach places so much handier, because the suction would be strong enough to get the dust and particles from the tough-to-reach areas. My current vac doesn’t suck very well in those awkward places because the hose attachment doesn’t have good suction power. I might enjoy vacuuming again if I had a Dyson.

Thanks for the opportunity!

208 Yvonne Huff June 20, 2009 at 7:39 pm

I LOVE everything about it, but the washable Hepa filter is a big plus to me. I like to change filters often due to all the allergies of family members and I have COPD and need it as clean as possible. The vacuum I have now does not have a washable hepa filter and the replacements are very expensive. This would save me time, money, and gives me comfort knowing the filter is clean. It also weighs less than my current vacuum and my arthritis likes that!

Ok, my wife has been nagging me for years for a Dyson and the fact that Dyson is certified asthma & allergy friendly™ is the reason for us. Ball™ technology

The idea for Ball™ technology came about from an engineer studying new ways to steer. It started crudely – an old wand handle attached to a wheel. Eventually the wheel became a ball and an ideal home for the motor.

303 amy mayer June 20, 2009 at 9:45 am

I LOVE that Dyson is asthma and allergy free. Everyone in our family suffers from allergies and my son often has to use a nebulizer because his allergies get so bad and start up asthma. This would be a dream come true to own a Dyson and help our home become a cleaner, more asthma and allergy free home.

315 Jeane June 20, 2009 at 8:50 am

We got new carpeting and my old vacumm clogged up so fast that we called the company out saying that the carpet was flawed..ummm…it’s your vacumm, lady. Yep, it was. Borrowed my son’s Dyson..no problem..no clogging.

452 Deborah S June 19, 2009 at 3:23 pm

I like the ball technology and the fact that it’s easier to move this vacuum around and reach places other vacuums can’t. It would help my family alot as we have two dogs and a bunch of cats and have to vacuum often!

Cleaner expelled air & Built to last – great features!

Thanks for the giveaway!

455 Jennifer June 19, 2009 at 3:18 pm

I love that it’s certified asthma and allergy friendly! That would really help out with my asthma.

I love that Dyson is a canister vacuum – no bags!

462 jan June 19, 2009 at 2:29 pm

I love the cyclone technology, we need something that will pick up pet hair and get the floor clean.

463 janeh June 19, 2009 at 2:19 pm

I’m always impressed by the tv commercials for Dyson Vacuum Cleaners…..they seem so easy to use…..lightweight and flexible. The allergy/asthma certification is important to me, as we suffer from allergies …..

466 courtney s June 19, 2009 at 1:54 pm

i love that it picks up more dirt then any other vaccumm! yay! :) this would be great since all the dogs make the house so dirty!

467 Michaela Riedersberger June 19, 2009 at 1:51 pm

Motorized brushbar for pet hair pick-up – would be amazing for my home! Dog and Cat hair becomes ridiculously hard to get up!

asthma and allergy certified. i didn’t know that…

470 Katherine Persons June 19, 2009 at 1:44 pm

The five year warranty and will work on any floor

471 Diane R. June 19, 2009 at 1:43 pm

I liked the fact that they are specifically designed for allergies and pets. I have 2 cats, take care of my 2 grandkids, and we have allergies. Sounds perfect to me.

472 Lisa L June 19, 2009 at 1:42 pm

Unlike ordinary vacuums, Dyson is certified asthma & allergy friendly™ according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

This would help because even though I adopted 3 cats from the humane society, doesn’t mean I love the cat hair all over that needs cleaned daily.

My poor itchy eyes – LOL

I love that they’re bagless & suck up TONS of dirt. (I also love that the inventor is cute!)

475 Kimberly Ripley June 19, 2009 at 1:34 pm

The best thing about a Dyson is that it doesn’t lose suction. I’ve never had the opportunity to own one but I have heard wonderful things about the vacuum.

Ever since I saw my first Dyson commerical where it shows the ball movement instead of the straight-forward (like all other vacuums) I have wanted to try one out. But until I looked at their website, that was all I really knew about them. The more I see the more I like them! I’m always concerned about the quality of our air with allergies and such in our house- so I need a clean vacuum, that’s easy to manuver, and one that will get the job done quickly and efficiantly. As far as I can tell… that’s a Dyson!

I love the intense technology you can see how it is built with the flash animation on the site, plus everyone I know believes Dysons are reliable so it would definitely help out, esp being so light!

485 Chad Johnson June 19, 2009 at 1:01 pm

My 3 year old has asthma and it has manifested twice in pneumonia, I love the fact it is asthma friendly. I definitely have tweeted about this!!!

In addition to the model in the giveaway I like the DC24 AllFloors for 2 reasons.
1) it is also asthma & allergy certified (my 6 month old has had respiratory problems since 2 weeks old)
and
2) it’s compact and lightweight which encourages me to vacuum much more often than I would with a heavy, heavy model

488 216amyc June 19, 2009 at 12:38 pm

I learned that Dyson cyclone vacuums are all bagless.
This would help my family out financially because we wouldn’t have to buy bags any more!

494 Danielle E. June 19, 2009 at 12:34 pm

I have a dog and this would be great for that dog hair that ends up on the floors and furniture. Often a regular vacuum doesn’t pick it all up.

495 sarah d. June 19, 2009 at 12:33 pm

I like that Dyson products are allergy-friendly and don’t lose suction. I live with two allergens and this is a big plus for me!

I love that Dyson vacuum cleaners have been certified asthma & allergy friendly. My husband and son both have allergies, and my husband occasionally uses an inhaler. We could use a better vacuum cleaner, and Dyson is my DREAM VACUUM!

500 Carolyn June 19, 2009 at 11:50 am

I like the fact that it has a carbon free digital motor and that it’s light weight, my present vacuum weighs a ton and I have severe arthritis.
