Heading to Dyson for a Domestic Engineers Conference

Dyson_logo_pageI am sitting here, getting posts scheduled, working on emails and looking at my empty suitcase. Leave it to me to pack at the last minute. I am charging my Sony Reader, making sure I have all the chargers for my phone, laptop, etc. that I need. Oh – reminds me that I need to print my plant ticket. Whoops! Anyhoo – I am VERY excited to be a part of a small group of selected bloggers to go to Chicago to meet with Dyson. What will I be doing? Here’s a brief:

Dyson is all solving problems and making things work better. Throughout the day, you’ll experience just what it’s like to be an engineer at Dyson, you’ll learn about our machines, why they’re different (and why people say they actually have fun vacuuming with our machines). You’ll be brainstorming and building and putting our machines to the test. Laptops and cameras (video and photo) will be on hand for live tweeting and blogging. The event will begin at 9:00am and finish up around 5:00pm, including a surprise field trip to end the day.

I will be with a great group of bloggers. Some I know already and some are new to me. You can read my tweets by following the Twitter Hash Tag: DysonDEs. You can read all of my direct stream by following Mommy Goggles.

Tons of information and lots of pictures to show you my journey with Dyson!

I’ll have my laptop with me, and of course, my BlackBerry. I will reply to emails as I can and will be moderating comments as I can as well. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

You know I’ll be following your tweets all while kicking myself for canceling and wiping away tears. If only I could afford to snag a flight up there.
