Elmer’s Spring Cleaning ‘Do It Yourself’ Projects

The kids and I love to make crafts together. With it being Spring Cleaning ‘season’, I have been cleaning out the clutter in my office space and collecting those miscellaneous items that some may consider trash and using them for scrap to make craft projects. Elmer’s is here to help us all out with a challenging and fun contest (hosted on the Elmer’s website).

We received some Elmer’s products to help us out.

  • Elmer’s Glue-All
  • CraftBond Tacky Glue
  • CraftBond Extra Strength Glue Stick
  • Elmer’s Multipurpose Spray Adhesive
  • X-ACTO Gripster Knife

With this, we made so many things including bunnies & chicks for Easter, as well as for many other projects where we were able to send to school for Tucker’s school friends. We had foam pieces and used the Elmer’s Glue to put the pieces together.

You may be looking at these, thinking ‘what in the world?’ Well, we have a description of what the chicken is. I loved waking up the next morning to see that hubby had this on the table for me! 😆

Who can not love getting disco bunnies, where one used his bowtie as a pair od 80’s sunglasses?

What I love about Elmer’s products, is that they aren’t just for crafting projects. I use Elmer’s products, especially the Elmer’s Multipurpose Spray Adhesive and CraftBond Extra Strength Glue Stick is that I can redecorate our playroom with the simplicity of a spray or gluestick by using the kids’ art projects or schoolwork. In our Playroom, I installed a type of dry erase board around all the walls to help keep the walls clean. This makes it so nice for adding artwork and fun things on the walls with the adhesive spray and glue sticks. Not only do we use Elmer’s products for crafts, to hang the kids’ projects in the playroom, but we also use it to change up the look in our home… Example: I used Elmer’s Spray Adhesive to switch up the look in our downstairs bathroom. We went from plain walls, to monsters and space ships.

I am able to change up the look just by using the kids’ artwork, or cut out’s that the kids have from their books. With us having a 1900 home, I am always changing up colors, themes and walls in our home. If you want a do it yourself project that is very inexpensive and personal, keep Elmer’s in mind!

Elmer’s is giving away a $250 VISA gift card and three Spring DIY Kits to some lucky people! going on through May 6, 2011, Elmer’s is taking entries for DIY projects where they will be posting to all bloggers’ creations and announce the winner on their Twitter and Facebook pages in mid-May.

  1. LOL! These are so cute! For about a month or so I had a lady helping me watch my 2 year old while I delt with the newborn twins. She always did crafts like this with my son and they were awesome. Thanks for reminding me!
