When we go to the grocery store, or any shopping for that matter, we always tote along reusable bags. We recycle, use Freecycle as much as possible, and donate unwanted items to thrift stores. I also try to drive as little as possible, combining errands with travel to and from work.
We recycle, compost, donate clothings/furniture instead of throwing them out and use energy efficient light bulbs!

I am helping the environment by breastfeeding, clothdiapering, borrowing a wedding gown, use cold water for laundry, line dry (even in the winter!), we us energy efficient bulbs and reusable bags, if we have extra plastic grocery bags (because we all slip from time to time!) we bring them on our next trip and drop them off, or use them for our groceries again, we recycle, pick up trash outside, turn the thermostat down by 5 degrees, and make sure all doors and windows are sealed!
