We love our Pepsi Contemporary RPET bag by Envirosax! *Review & Giveaway* (Closed)

in 2009 Holiday Gift Guide, Closed Contests, Product Reviews

recycleWhen we go to the grocery store, or any shopping for that matter, we always tote along reusable bags. I have had a few that we loved and a few that we ‘tolerated’ because they were good for the environment and reusable. I, personally, love the reusable bags that fold up small so I can keep in my purse, diaper bag or in an area in my van.

PepsiCo & Envirosax is working together for some bright, fun and affordable reusable bags, at right around $10 each.

Iconic brand Pepsi is a multi-generational pop culture brand spanning more than a century due to its ability to relate to each new generation. This generation’s challenge is to protect our planet’s resources and PepsiCo aims to be a part of that solution.

Pepsi, together with Envirosax, the world leader in designer reusable bags, have developed a line of Pepsi Bags made of RPET, which encourage each generation to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Envirosax bags not only save the planet from plastic bag pollution, the creation of Envirosax RPET fabric – made from recycled plastic bottles – will help remove the existing pollution from the environment as well!

Pepsi Heart ContemporaryBag-frontPepsi Catch the Spirit Heritage Bag

Pepsi Contemporary RPET bags by Envirosax are unique and extraordinary because:

  • They are made from fully certified 100% recycled content RPET
  • The plastic bottles used in the recycled RPET materials are sourced from the USA
  • The hangtags are made from recycled sugar cane and printed with soy inks
  • Water and paper used in the printing processes are recycled
  • RPET is certified by SCS
  • They are fully washable and easy to carry with you everywhere!
  • They hold 40lbs in weight and roll up to a tiny 4” parcel

I received an Envirosax bag last year and have used this bag pretty much in a daily basis from toting the kid’s toys, DVD’s, and books around when we travel, as well as to the grocery store for shopping. Love the quality and I love the styles that are available.

The five designs in the Contemporary collection reflect Pepsi through the ages: a time when life was simpler. A time when pristine unspoiled nature was abundant, and plastic bags, and bottles were fewer and far between. The five bags in the Heritage collection feature vintage inspired graphics and designs.

These adorable bags are made from 55% virgin polyester and 45% Repreve, which is 100% recycled content. Gotta love cuteness and helping the environment, all in one.

I love everything about these bags! They are cute. They are thin, yet can hold so much! They are affordable. They are easy to travel with. I have had so many compliments on my bag.

The Pepsi Contemporary and Heritage bags are available at specialty gift stores and at http://shop.pepsiusa.com for $9.99 each.

We use reusable products and recyle. I am also in the process of switching my cleaning products to the “green” versions. Still haven’t found a “green” toilet cleaner, but I have been shocked by how good the products are in general.

We do a lot of the usual things, like recycle, use re-useable bags at the grocery store, compost, etc. The largest thing we’ve done is to adjust our landscaping so that we don’t need to water a lawn or plants any longer.

I am helping the environment by breastfeeding, clothdiapering, borrowing a wedding gown, use cold water for laundry, line dry (even in the winter!), we us energy efficient bulbs and reusable bags, if we have extra plastic grocery bags (because we all slip from time to time!) we bring them on our next trip and drop them off, or use them for our groceries again, we recycle, pick up trash outside, turn the thermostat down by 5 degrees, and make sure all doors and windows are sealed! :)

65 Stacey November 12, 2009 at 7:45 pm

It might be shorter to post what were not doing!

Recycling paper, cardboard, newspaper, packaging

Using both sides of paper to draw/write on
Using the printer less

Shredding our bills and personal info and using it as bedding in our worm farm

Keeping a worm farm and feeding them our food scraps rather than putting them down the disposal

Composting yard waste

Having an energy audit done on our house to see what we can do to make it more energy friendly

I would rather carry items out of the store than use a plastic bag

Buy in bulk to bring home less packaging

Patrol the neighborhood on bulk trash day to see if there is anything we can use before we go out an buy more.

Looking into installing solar hot water and home heating
