While I drive a minivan, hubby drives a mid-size car. We have only been ‘lucky’ enough to have been able to find one car seat to fit in hubby’s car (which was an old garage sale find, that I didn’t feel comfortable with) and that would be easy to transport from his car to my van if we needed. We, of course, also needed safety. I really loved how easy the Evenflo Symphony was to install, I loved the sleek look it has, and I loved the safety ratings it received. All in all, this is a great car seat. If you are looking for an all in one car seat, this is a great one! We had an infant car seat with Kambry, but I would have rather had the ‘all in one/convertible’ like the Evenflo Symphony. Very safe and this seat is able to hold babies from 5 pounds, to children up to 100 pounds.

i love that it eliminates the need for the use of passenger seat belts to secure the car seat.
As of January 2009 all Evenflo car seats, including our Symphony65™ all-in-one car seats, are side impact tested. This appeals to me because other drivers are crazy, so you need all the protection you can get on the road when carrying precious cargo.

According to the site, research shows that many car seats are not installed properly despite the parents’ belief that they are… The Sure Latch, my favorite feature of the car seat, ensures that the installation is done properly, which in turn means your child has that added assurance of safety.

I like the five point belt system. As children grow, belts get harder to adjust properly. This seems the logical solution.

The Latch system! I want it so badly!!! I cannot tell you how much I hate carseats – I am a Grandma and I will never get used to them. I know there are more like me out there – and my husband has the same problem! It’s not that I don’t believe in them, I really do, it’s just that the ones I have had to deal with have actually had me in tears! The Latch system would save me, I just know it!

I like that it goes up to 100 pounds. My special needs son will always need a carseat and it’s hard to find them that will tilt and also go up to 100 pounds.
I like the ease of use.

My greatest fear is side impacts in cars, my family recently lost a dear friend only 17 years old due to a side impact car collision.
My son lives 1200 miles away and I worry greatly of the risk that with having my young grandson in the car in a cheaper car seat not having the protection he needs on his daily car trips to and from daycare.
So to me the Symphony65™ All-In-One Car Seat with Side Impact Protection
would be the greatest feature any care seat could have, second would be the ability to stay in the correct postion being fastened securely in the car.

Oh wow! I love this seat! I think the best feature (not having used it) seems to be the SureLatch system. I have the latch feature on all three of my seats now but none of them look that easy to install!

I learned that you cannot you cannot use car seat for top tether rear facing.
Thank you for your review on this seat! My son is quickly approaching outgrowing his infant carseat and in our search for a convertible seat, we’ve come across this one. Its so new that its hard to find honest reviews (especially on the 65 since a lot of people have been reviewing the standard symphany which doesn’t have as many features). I also think this seat will actually FIT in my car unlike the Britax that everyone raves about. Sucker won’t fit in my tiny Audi! I really like that the seat goes up so high in weight though and the sure latch would be wonderful considering getting the base of the infant seat had me sweating pretty good!
