It seems as if it isn’t one child in our home that is sick, it is the other. Anytime I take them to the doctor, or even at home, the kids seem to squirm around and we cannot seem to get an accurate temperature. Kambry squeems at the ear thermometers (my guess is since she has had so many ear infections, the thought of having something else poked in her ear isn’t on her top list at the moment), and Tucker – well, Tucker is a toddler, so he doesn’t like to sit still long enough to get his temperature taken.
I had the pleasure to work with Family Review Network and with The Exergen Corporation for an opportunity that is very much appreciated and is truly great! Now, when I take the kids’ temperatures, I don’t have to mess with holding them down, I simply pull out the Exergen Temporal Scanner, push the button, and touch their forehead. Literally about 2 seconds and no need to hold down your child anymore.

The Exergen Temporal Scanner is an infrared thermometer that captures temperature by scanning the heat that comes off the forehead (via the temporal artery), it is non-invasive, easy-to-use (only takes 2 seconds), and extremely accurate. This hi-tech and unique thermometer is a must-have for new and expecting parents, especially those wishing to avoid the painful experience of using a rectal thermometer on their sick infant.
The kids got a kick out of takine their temperature, as you can tell. No more screamint fits here! Kambry’s temperature came up a degree below normal, but I can tell you that it was COLD in our house when we took temps. When I told the kids I was going to take their temperatures, Tucker raised his arm, thinking he was going to have to sit there for 5 minutes.
Not anymore!
You can find the Exergen Temporal Scanner at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Costco, Babies R Us, Toys R Us and Sam’s Clubs nationwide starting around $29.98. This tool truly gives parents a comforting option for taking a temperature.

It’s a hassle trying to take someone’s temperature when they’re wriggling and squirming.

It is hard to get a child to hold still for a temp. O like that it is quick and noninvasive.
I don’t have a funny story about my child, but I have one about me when I was younger… I hallucinate when I get a fever, so my mom was trying to get my temperature…and I kept screaming, saying something about the Chinese trying to invade my body! I was out of it!
My 5 year old is due for surgery the beginning of May. Thermometer like this will help us through this.
My daughter hates having her temperature taken and will scream when the thermometer is taken out. Of course, if it’s out of eyesight, she’s fine but as soon as she sees it – she screams again.
my sons bnever seem to hold still long enough with our current one under the armpit…this would be great as its very fast

Kids are irratable when they are sick. Once, one of our yanked it out of his mouth and threw it on the floor. It broke. Bought a new one at the drug store and happened again! Saw the doctor that afternoon and let him do it.
My three year old grandson is autistic and prone to ear infections. We’ve had tubes put in his ears, but when the “next thing” strikes, I sure would enjoy using a Temporal Scanner!
Well, (sigh) its still isn’t funny to me, maybe twenty years from now…I try the oral thermometer and he clamps it between his teeth and nothing every registers. Rectal thermometer, well, that one makes us both run screaming and crying. Ear thermometer is just such a treat when the problem is an ear infection with pain to start with. So basically, I have given up on thermometers. I use touch and guess at it.
This would be amazing to use.
It’s amazing how fast a sick 3 year old can run when you need to take a temp!

I would like to have this for my grandson who is teething right know. I am sure his parents would appreciate it.
I was trying to take my sons temp and kept trying to put the them under his tongue. Which is very hard with him and He throw up all over me and about the same time his sister said that her tummy hurt and i thought that she was just trying to copy big brother until she threw up all in my bed. What a night that was. Ever since I listen to what she says.
I would absolutely love to have this. I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a 2 week old and the only way I take their temp right now is the old fashioned way. Anything to make my life easier would be great! Thanks for a great giveaway

My kids are chewers. You’d think they were goat – they chew on EVERYTHING! Needless to say, taking temperatures isn’t much fun. What a neat invention! We’d love to win the Exergen!!!!!
Son might have had a fever, but he kept on wanting to drink hot tea between tries at taking his temperature with a cheap under-the-tongue one.

Biggest headache is trying to get my little one to not mind getting their temperature taken. She hates it any way I do it!
This would be so easy and simple to use!!
I no longer have children at home, but I do take care of my father. He hates it when I have to take his temperature – so I could really use the Exergen to make that task easier and my father less cranky!
I am a subscriber. Thanks for the chance!
I don’t have a funny story but this would be great for my son because he has a hard time sitting still and I love that it is non invasive. Thanks!
