I have some exciting news!!! I am SO PROUD and so THRILLED (for the lack of a better word!) to announce that I am one excited mommy! I am one of TEN moms chosen for the ‘Refrigerator Test Drive Team’. What? YES! I get a new gorgeous fridge from Frigidaire. This month, Frigidaire is rolling a brilliant new collection with more than 250 kitchen and laundry appliances, just in time for Mother’s Day! They designed these high-performance products with easy-to-use, time-saving features to give Moms more free time away from the kitchen and laundry room.
Now that I am a SAHM, I spend far more time in my kitchen than I ever thought I would. Well, I can tell you that I never have ‘loved’ my kitchen. I am in an old 1900 home and, well, it just isn’t a room that I love. We moved in to this home last July and the only room that I really wanted to have that ‘affection’ for was my kitchen. If moms are going to be making 3 meals a day, plus snacks, in here, then why not love it?
Frigidaire recently conducted a survey to get a window into moms’ lives. The Frigidaire Motherload Index revealed that Moms log more overtime than most Americans. The index found that moms spend most of their waking lives – 200 hours each month, in fact – doing the activities we least enjoy rather than the things we love. And yet the majority of us say we “rarely” or “never” feel caught up on our household tasks. Frigidaire kept all of this in mind when designing their new appliances. With new features such as a six-minute PowerPlus™ preheat time on their ovens, a Quick Clean dishwashing cycle that cuts the time it takes in half to clean our dishes, the Fits-More™ Dryer that allows us to dry the whole family’s clothes at once, and TimeWise™ technology to make the dryer and washing cycle equal, we can have enough time to watch our favorite shows—or even better—get a manicure! (Or even Blog!)
Frigidaire has so much confidence in the efficiency of these products that they are offering a “More Me-Time” Guarantee: Moms will reduce the amount of time they typically spend on housework by at least 8 hours a month using a combination of three or more select Frigidaire appliances or they can return the appliances to their place of purchase within 30 days and get their money back! I do not know of any (ANY!) other company that has that type of guarantee.
How can one not fall in love with this scenario? I wonder if I can get someone to come remodel my kitchen to look like this?

What am I getting, you ask?
• Frigidaire Refrigerator: Stainless; 69-3/8″ high x 35-5/8″ wide x 26-7/8″ deep

If you have been reading my blog, you may have seen that I was on strike. After I made a fabulous drawing of my pathetic kitchen, hubby and I went out and got a dishwasher, oh – and a countertop, sink, faucet, then mama had someone else install it. Up until I found out I was chosen to be a part of ‘Refrigerator Test Drive Team’, I liked my kitchen. Finally! Well, I am utterly excited to know that I will now not only like my kitchen, but will LOVE my kitchen! I may not want to leave it. Ever. Guess I need to get my pillow and blankie ready.
Before my new Frigidaire refrigerator arrives:
- I will embarrass myself and show you pictures and *ahem* details from my current box. We still insist that our 1900 home was built around this thing that people are supposed to call a refrigerator.
- I will, then again, embarrass myself by showing you a video of this thing. (I better clean it first. I think the ick on it is FROM 1900. It was on it when we moved in. We have just grown to accept it.)
- I don’t think I need to detail out my experience with this poor thing. It is already on its’ last leg. I don’t want to make it feel bad.
Once my new Frigidaire refrigerator arrives:
- I will be posting my personal experience with it
- I will show you detailed pictures from my experience with it
- I will show you videos of my current refrigerator, then compare it with the *ahem* old one.
And just for you, my readers, I will even take a picture of myself with the new baby, and post them. Heck, I might even give it a nice hug and sloppy kiss. Ah, who am I kidding? You know I will hug my new Frigidaire Refrigerator like it was a long, lost relative and cry like I did the days that my babies were born.
Frigidaire also wants to know what you would do if you had an extra hour of blissful “me-time”. Starting today, moms can go to Frigidaire.com to report the five things you would do with an extra hour each day.
All participants will be entered for a chance to win an entire suite of NEW Frigidaire appliances. Plus, check out other prizes you can win – like a gorgeous new Frigidaire Affinity washer/dryer.
Keep checking back here for more information, videos, pictures, details and more!
Visit the Frigidaire Facebook page, become a fan, and meet some of the other Test Drive Moms!
Oh, and make sure to follow us on Twitter (#FrigidaireTeam) for up-to-the-minute information.
Thank you so much to Mom Central and to Frigidaire.com!

Hi Tanya,
Congratulations on your new fridge!!
Did you have a choice between the side by side vs the botton freezer drawer? We’ve been trying to decide which style to get when we replace ours.

Hi Cathi and thank you for your comment!
I can tell you that my dad has the side by side on top with freezer on the bottom and I love LOVE it!! I really wanted that type, but when I got the Frigidaire side by side.. OMG I am in LOVE! I really love the storage, the space, the layout, everything!

The ice maker on my fridge recently broke. This would be a great replacement!

P.S. Some of your links for “frigidaire” are wrong lol
They left out one of the “i’s”..thought you’d wanna know..
(I still think I need to be a professional proof-reader-in all seriousness lol..Maybe I can advertise to be a blog proof-reader) I caught another link typo in another blog earlier today lol
Oh and I agree..I’d love to have a kitchen makeover to look like THOSE kitchens haha

Congrats….don’t get rid of your old one though (ahem) we invested in the entire professional series last year and once month 13 rolled around (they have a 12 month warranty) ALL has started falling apart! The computer on the dishwasher blew the pice to replace it cost more then half it cost to begin with. The microwave has issues to the point of we unplug it when not in use because it just turns itself on, The fridge don’t even get me started! Wait, nothing has gone wrong with my cast iron top gas range stove. (knock on wood)

Great! You get yet another free item for doing absolutely nothing, and for absolutely not needing it. Is your fridge broken? There are families that don’t even have a fridge and they just give one out to a stupid mom blogger? Ridiculous!

I would have LOVED a new fridge. I have an LG fride and I hate it. Terrible waste of space! I also have the LG dishwasher, oven and washer and dryer and they are all crap.
I will love vicariously through you. Enjoy!
