Getting Fit with #FitBit Flex! #Fitness #Weightloss

How many steps in a day do you think you need to take in order to be active and lose weight? Well, any steps in a day are great verses sitting on your butt all day, right? Right! My daily goal is 10,000 steps each and every day. There are days that I will almost make it and there are days that I will breeze far past that 10,000 daily goal. I’ve been using a nifty device to help me keep tabs on my activity…. The FitBit Flex. I have been a FitBit user now for about 3 years now. Recently I was asked to check out the FitBit Flex.

This slim, stylish device is with you all the time. During the day, it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning. Just check out the lights to see how you stack up against your personal goal. It’s the motivation you need to get out and be more active.

What color did I choose? PINK! Not only do I love pink and it’s my blog’s main color, but I chose pink because a portion of it went to breast cancer awareness. Anything for a cause! When I had my very first FitBit, way back when, the only color that was available for any of it was black. Now, you can get 9 different colors, including the basic colors like blue and black.

Wearing:

Easy peasy – put the tracker in the band, snap on, get going.

You can see here how small it is. It’s not bad to look at, stays on in comfort and the size is smaller than my watch.

Tracking & Syncing:

When you download the FitBit app on your smart phone (It’s free!), turn on your bluetooth and once the app is open, the FitBit will automatically sync to the app and feed out to the social networks that you choose. Mine feeds out to my Facebook page and Twitter stream. For me, this helps motivate me. Once my friends and family can see what I’ve been doing, they help cheer me on.

Once you meet your daily goal, it will vibrate and light up. I like to get at least 10,000 steps in per day. You can also use the FitBit as your morning alarm. Set it via app or online and when it’s time to wake up, it’ll vibrate to let you know. This isn’t some small tingling feeling… this will wake.you.up. I usually set an alarm on my phone, however there are times that I let hubby sleep in and I get up early, so this way, it’ll only be me waking up. It’s also perfect for a traveling alarm too.

Accessories:

If you get one color and you are ‘tired’ of that color, you can order different colored bands. I love my pink, but I am about to order some more colors like green, black and I am totally digging the red! There are a lot of FitBit accessories to choose from like the scale, extra USB charging cable and more.

The FitBit is also app friendly. I love that it connects with so many apps that I already use on a daily basis.

Ever since I’ve been using and wearing my FitBit Flex, I have noticed that I am more aware of what I am doing, how many steps I am taking, I walk more in place as I am around the house and I have been able to get friends and family in on the fitness train. Overall, I am very happy with my FitBit and highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a fitness tracker!

    I have heard such good reviews on this,,I so wish I could afford one,,but sadly I cant but am trying to walk more each day,,and just get where I can at least do that
