I’m participating in a Healthy Choice Better for BlogHer Challenge!

BlogHer is just around the corner and I am ready for it. I have taken on a fun and healthy challenge for BlogHer, but most of all – for myself: Healthy Choice Better for BlogHer Challenge. I am so excited to be one of only 20 bloggers chosen for this life changing opportunity!

This challenge is designed to inspire and help maintain a healthy lifestyle by replacing just one meal a day with a Healthy Choice option. While I was out yesterday, I picked up some Healthy Choice Complete Meals and effective today, my Healthy Choice challenge has started.

I picked up two, to begin the end of this week with, then I will pick up some more this weekend. Here are the two that I started with:

Home-style Salisbury Steak
Savory Salisbury steak in thick, rich gravy with seasoned red-skin potatoes, delicious vegetables, and a caramel apple crisp is a low-fat way to enjoy a satisfying meal. 310 calories.

Beef Pot Roast
The complete man meal comes with roasted beef and onion gravy, seasoned red potatoes, marvelous carrots, and apple-cranberry crisp for an unbelievably low 290 calories.

I am a meat and potato type of gal, so I was giddy to see these two meals as options for Healthy Choice! The first one that I tried was the Beef Pot Roast. To be honest, I was expecting that typical frozen meal flavor and consistency, but this one has me more excited to try the Salisbury Steak one tomorrow!

I have been doing great at watching what I eat, but with the Healthy Choice Better for BlogHer Challenge, I am excited to try these new meals out and let you all know what I think! Stay tuned for another post this weekend and several more to come, including one while I am at BlogHer in NYC!

I am working with Healthy Choice and participating in a program with Healthy Choice and to help with my challenge, I am receiving compensation in the form of gift cards, as well as coupons for Healthy Choice meals to help facilitate my Healthy Choice Better for BlogHer Challenge. My thoughts and opinions are not swayed by payment and are 100% all my own.

It should be fun to meet all of us participating! That Beef Pot Roast looks good – I am doing Herb Roasted Chicken (my old standby) tonight but will be going to do some more shopping tomorrow and will look for the Pot Roast!
