Hearing your own heartbeat is cool!

The kids have sniffles, were coughing and just didn’t seem like themselves. With the whole H1N1 going around and another bronchial virus floating around, I didn’t want to chance anything. I have chronic Bronchitis and asthma, so we really don’t need the Swine in our house. I called the Dr this morning and they were able to get us in right away. Thank goodness! We got there, Tucker put on his mask, and we were in the doctor’s office in no time. We have never seen this doctor before, but he was SO NICE! He let Tucker listen to his own heartbeat. Tucker thought that was co cool!

The end result: Tucker has an ear infection and a sinus infection. The cough is coming from the massive drainage from his sinuses. No H1N1. YAY!!! Kambry has no ear infections, but does have some sinus build up. They both are on Zithromax for the sinus and ear infection, along with Dimetapp for the drainage. So crazy seeing empty shelves in our local pharmacy and grocery store for all cold medicine. Never seen that before!

We have company coming in later this evening and going hang out and play. We have some fun reviews coming up with our company’s help, so be sure to check back for those. Have a great and healthy weekend everyone!

How funny that a sinus infection can be considered “good news”. Totally hear you though. my sister has been battling sinus problems w/ her twins for what seems like forever.
She took them in for cat scans and now it looks like some sort of procedure may be in their future, poor little cuties.
The only piece of what might be called “good news” is that she as told of a thing called a balloon sinuplasty which she is told is less of an ordeal.
Wish her luck. She is doing research and trying to get educated opinions (which mine is not :) )

I hope they are all feeling better. it hurtsd mom more when her baby isn’t feeling goog.

I sweaqr for the past week my babies have been attached to me, because I don’t want them out of my sight. Both have had the new strrand of the flu. Not H1N1, but a different stand that has been going around, you have the flu, but no upset stomach and vomiting, it’s a nice strand I guess.

Hope they feel better soon… He looks so cut with his mask and cap. What a great doctor to let him listen to his own heart. I used to let my kids do that with my stethescope. It is really a cool thing for a kid to do.
