How my @Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has helped me with our move #VZWBuzz

As member of an awesome team of influencers, I received the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with line of service from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise positive feedback. All opinions are my own & 100% truthful.

We are moving in 1 day and 16 hours… not that we are counting down or anything. We are moving to a bigger house, but in the same town. When we moved cross country, there were so many things that we had to plan in the new state and new town, however with us moving to the other side of town, there are still tons of things to get done. With this said, my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hasn’t left my side. It’s been my sidekick, my buddy, my planning guru, my everything.

I wanted to share with you what some of my favorite apps, widgets and features are of the Galaxy Note 3 that have truly saved my sanity during this last month while we prepare for our move.

First off, music. Gotta have music while you’re packing. In fact, it’s a must have. One of my all time favorite apps is .977 Music. For music, I also love the Zedge and Pandora apps. These can all stream via WiFi or through your Verizon network (or any network). You can choose between just about any station you want from country, 80’s, 90’s, today’s hits, comedy – you name it!

Even though we are moving locally, we rented a U-Haul. I used the Chrome browser on my Note 3 to schedule my 17 foot truck. Yeah, we have a lot of stuff. With this said, we’ve been using a check list to help things move along smoothly.

Since I am impatient, each night after I get done packing for the day, I have been trying to visualize the new house and where to put what once we move in. I found one of the coolest apps to help me see those visions; Floor Plan Creator.

While we are up to our eyeballs with boxes, I really don’t want to pull pots & pans out of boxes to cook, soooooo Pizza Hut to the rescue. When I am over in the Omaha area picking up things for the new house, hubby always has be stop by Buffalo Wild Wings. Also, since we are in between utility transfers, we’ve been using Netflix and Redbox a lot.

While we were selling and searching for a new house, Zillow and Trulia were my daily must watches. Being able to search for houses from my Note 3 simply made my days and searches so much easier.

When I have some down time, which isn’t too often, I like to chill out and read. I’ve been reading Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep on Kindle. I LOVE that the pages and letters can be large or small; whatever fits your needs. I have been reading more since I have had the Note 3 because I love reading on this bad boy!

Since we’ve been packing for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been using Facebook a lot.. I mean a LOT more lately. I’ve found several local Facebook groups that have let me list things for sale and I have found several items for the new house. This has de-cluttered the house, minimized our packing and allowed us to find some pretty awesome deals locally as well. With this said, eBay has been great to buy and sell on as well. We’ve ordered things from Walmart, Amazon and Sam’s Club as well. Great time savers, that’s for sure!

While shopping for the house, I found this super cute and fun battery cover for my Note 3. Pretty, huh?

With the move, comes moving of all the utilities, change of address, using those store reward discount cards to save money and setting back up the home network in the new house. With this, my favorite app for storing passwords and log in information is Keeper Vault. I pay the $9.99 yearly fee to have it sync to all my devices. LOVE this app! While I’m talking about security, I can’t forget to tell you about our home security system. We use Lifeshield. With this app, I can arm and disarm my home security system, as well as check video cameras to make sure our home is safe while we are in between homes.

With running up and down two flights of stairs and three floors in our current home, this makes quite the workout. I’ve been using my Jawbone UP to track all my steps. (I have a whole post coming on this!). There’s an app for it that lets me see and sync all my steps, distance, calories, etc. Our local grocery store is HyVee. WIth the HyVee app, I can check local sales, as well as refill the family’s prescriptions.

I cannot forget to tell you how much I love the widgets on the Note 3. I can see all of my countdowns right away. This… this makes is all worth the hard labor of packing, and the events after.

How can you plan anything without a calendar? I love Google Calendar. I’ve been trying out Cozi, but I’m not too sure what I think about it just yet.

Once we are all moved in, a vacation sounds nice. I’m exhausted!
