Do you know How Wheat Works? I do!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Wheat Food Council. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever wondered where some of our food comes from? How about Wheat? I love seeing wheat fields, but have always wondered what the entire process was like. I was able to log on to How Wheat Works and basically take a ‘virtual tour’ of a wheat field. Here was my experience. Pretty cool!

wheatI am very active in helping out my local community, but also our nationwide community. For each participant that logs on, creates an account and goes through what I did above (literally, 2 minutes!), the Wheat Foods Council will donate two pounds of flour, up to 90,000 pounds, to Operation Homefront, a non-profit that provides assistance to needy U.S. troops and their families. How amazing is this?! Also, they are extending this program to the youth through www.wheatfoods.org so even more help!

Anyone, from any age will like this. You can virtually grow, harvest and mill their own kernels to create your desired wheat food. We eat a lot of wheat in our house from cereal, bread to snacks, so seeing how it is created was really neat.

This was really neat to see from start to finish, right from my computer. I learned a lot in the process as well. If you have a couple of minutes, be sure to check it out for yourself!
