Do you remember those days where you needed 40 CD’s to save and ‘back up’ your computer? Boy, I do! I have I don’t know HOW many CD’s from the previous years where I would back up (save) all of my data, pictures, videos, documents, music and anything else from my computer. I look at all these CD’s that I still have and I have to roll my eyes. Why didn’t someone come up with something more simple?
Well, HP has done just that, and then some! Now there is a product our called the HP SimpleSave Hard Drive. Why is this called “SimpleSave”? Because it is just that – SIMPLE! This is a portable hard drive that is available in 320- and 500-gigabyte capacities, and a SimpleSave Desktop, available in 1- and 2-terabyte capacities. Both devices feature preinstalled backup software.
What I LOVE the most about the SimpleSave drive is that there is no additional software needed to install. You plug, play and the SimpleSave backs up for you. Yes – it is THAT easy!
SimpleSave software automatically finds and backs up the data on the PC, and after the first backup, automatically updates the backup with file changes whenever the computer is idle.

I absolutely love the fact that it doesn’t have a power cord. I just lost my external hard drive because I accidentally tripped over the power cord and it fell. This would really help me out because I really need a new drive to take the place of the one that broke.

The feature I love most about the hard drive is that it doesn’t require an external power source, which makes it both energy-efficient and extremely convenient. I also love that it supports a lot of the files I use most – docs, jpegs, mp3s, etc. – which would make my life a lot easier having a central storage location for my important media files (and, even better, an ultra-portable one that I can take back and forth between home and school). Whats not to love I love all the features, I have lost so much music, pictures, and important items due to pc crash and sadly no way to get it back. I love that it uses the usb and not a cord to worry about getting broke or tripped over. My favorite is that it is portable because my oldest daughter has taken all my daughters senior pictures, well my oldest daughter is in Ohio we are in Florida over the summer she took at least 1000 pictures well now they are on her memory cards and pc, it would be awesome to have this so when they visit all the pictures could be saved to the HP SimpleSave drive 320GB and would be safe, portable and easier to have access to, also my son who doesn’t have a pc always wants us to bring our music to him and have no way to except by pc so this would help keeping music organized for their ipods by just hooking to any pc.

I like that it’s portable. We live in a 3 story townhouse with various computers on each floor, so portability is kind of a big deal
I like that it is small and sleek my husband could use it to store all his stuff for work.
I like something with a large storage space because I have so many photos, documents, and music files that my laptop doesn’t have enough memory to store everything that I have.

I think the best thing about it is that is simple to set up. We have two computers, and it would be so easy to move it from on o the other, so both are computers are backed up regularly.

I love the plug and play feature! My computer has been down for a while now so I’m using a ’92 laptop that can’t take bells and whistles. Installing bulky software would make it slow down considerably and it may not even be able to take it.
I’ve lost hundreds of pictures, thousands of mp3s, countless PSD artworks, etc. over the years from either upgrading, computer failure and whatnot. This would be awesome! It would also help to make programs like photoshop(which I can’t use on this laptop)actually run without worrying.
