Dear companies: What part of January 31st deadline don’t you understand?

tax deadlineThe law states that all tax forms are to be POSTMARKED BY JANUARY 31st. Why did I just NOW get one from a company and one last week? Yeah – postmarked March 1, 2010. What part of the LAW is it that they don’t understand? POST MARKED ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2010.

If I had already filed my taxes, I would be sending one hell of a bitch letter to these companies. :x Good thing I keep delaying on filing.

Seriously companies, pull your heads out of your asses.

I would STILL send them a letter. I have a friend that had already filed AND received his rebate, then he got a form and now he needs to ammend and send the IRS money. It’s absurd. I, like you, have not yet filed. I need to get started today … that’s my goal (as of right now, I don’t think it’ll happen today!). LOL!
