For those that know me (in real life, or even through my blog readings), you may see that I have a photo obsession. I love creating memories. I love capturing memories. I guess you can say that it is my ‘therapy’. On a rainy day, I love taking my camera out and snapping pictures. On a nice day, I do the same. Regardless of the weather, my camera is a part of me. Some people read books to ‘get away’. I take pictures.
When it comes to my family, my friends, travels and anything in between, I am a HUGE picture taker. Just this past week at Disneyland, I took 280 pictures. What am I going to do with all those pictures? How cool would it be to be able to have those pictures in a digital picture frame? I have never seen one of these in person, but recently, I was out and about and I saw one in person. Amazing piece of technology, I tell ya!

This is not an ordinary picture frame—it’s your window to the world. The KODAK EASYSHARE W1020 Wireless Digital Frame connects you to friends and family with leading photo sharing web sites like KODAK Gallery and FLICKR. Wireless…
As you know Kodak is all about strengthening the relationships that matter the most through the power of photography. During this information-age, family and friends can find themselves scattered all over the place. With constant connectivity on Facebook or Twitter, we often find ourselves assuming that we are keeping in touch well enough to keep loneliness at bay but in fact 67% of those say there is more loneliness in today’s society than there used to be.
Kodak believes that enhancing your relationships with family and friends through photography not only allows you to remember moments you want to cherish, but helps you connect further than a “poke” or a “tweet.”
There are many ways people can interact with photos everyday to strengthen their relationships with others. Judy Weiser, a world authority in PhotoTherapy techniques, has partnered with Kodak to help Americans combat loneliness and reach out to the people they miss. PhotoTherapy tips include:
- Create A Picture-Perfect Environment: Decorate your space with photos of friends, family, loved ones and places you enjoy. Be sure to select photos that contain strong positive memories. Every photo has feelings and memories just underneath its surface; choosing the right one lets you to revisit those moments all over again.
- Share Your World: The people you miss, miss you too. Let the important people in your life know how you’re doing by sharing not just the special moments but the ordinary moments too. Sharing the “small stuff” can have a BIG impact on your relationships.
- Interview Your Photo: Unlock the magic of your photo. Find the happiest picture in your collection and imagine a conversation with it. What positive message would it want you to know? How would it like you to feel? What would it want you to remember?
- Try a Photo Pick Me Up: Beat your blues! Find your most positive photo and carry it with you. Looking at a photo of happier times puts you right back there again, feeling that same way, right now!
- Breaking the Ice: Turn your photos into conversation starters. Behind every picture is a great story that wants to be told; it’s just waiting for you to ask! Sharing your photos is like sharing your life; when others hear your anecdotes, connections are made that can last a lifetime.

What would YOU do with a Kodak Digital Picture Frame?
Here’s what I would do:
I would use the frame to load my favorite images, for that week or month, set it on my table where my TV is and gaze at the pictures that are streaming from the frame, SD card or through Wi-Fi. Maybe this week, I would like to see nothing but images of the first days when my babies were born. What about next week? I could change the images to reflect our most recent family vacation, or how about gorgeous pictures of nature? This one picture frame holds an endless number of memories flowing all day, every day. My mind is flowing with ideas! What a great tool to watch all those summer pictures!

I love that the frame is wireless. Like you, my camera is part of me, and I love getting shots of memories; I’m the memory-keeper in my extended family. Whether it’s a birthday, vacation day, or grand daughter wearing papa’s socks on both hands and both feet, standing there with nothing else on but a diaper, behind stuck out, and feet crossed, watching cartoons, I’m the one ready with a camera to catch the moment. I would use this frame to display all of those special memories. Like you, I take hundreds of photos at family events, saving memories for my “old age”.

My “Photo Therapy” would involve putting many of our happiest memories in the frame (or using the built-in wifi), and placing the frame in our bedroom so my last thoughts before drifting off to sleep would be of our vacations with the kids (or short getaways without the kids if it has been a particularly stressful evening).
I really like the fact that this frame is wifi enabled and has the ability to access the latest news and weather directly from the frame.

The quick touch border is really cool feature. I think digital picture frames in general area really cool gadgets. I keep photos around my world. I think its important to have pictures of things that are important. We have some blown up really big around the house. They’re our artwork.
I love the idea of sharing the small stuff- currently doing that with distant relatives in Holland with my blog! I love that this frame can automatically share into your albums online- I didn’t know that was possible!
I use photos to share my world. I’ve been in Iraq 3 separate times and when you’re that far away from home the only thing that keeps you sane is knowing there is family waiting for you. It’s a real lifeline. The thing I like about the picture frame is that it can hold so many photos. I think its really cool to have all of your photos recycling through one frame.

I will create photo therapy for myself with my Kodak Digital Frame, by loading pictures that I want to freeze in time – pictures of my wedding day, pregnancies, birth days of my babies, first birthdays, funny faces, things so sweet that I record in my heart and try to capture in a picture. Just don’t ever want to forget – want to keep it. My keepsakes. I love the feature that I can create my own slideshows to music!!! This will be fun for me.
