Lacura Skincare

Here in the Midwest, our winters are harsh. I say that lightly. They are VERY harsh. With my Eczema and dry skin, I have tried just about everything on the market and my face, forehead, eyes and even my lips continue to be dry, scaly and painful. I was asked to try out a new product called Lacura. Being with the condition that my skin was in, of course – I jumped at the opportunity. I am thankful that I did! I have been using Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Day Cream for a week now and I already see and feel a huge difference. I put the Day Cream on every morning when I wake up and the moisture that I have gained on my skin has dramatically improved. My skin is not oily from the face cream, but it is perfect. No scaly skin anymore for me. Also, I have before I put on the Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Day Cream, I have been using the Lacura Face Care: Hydrating Toner. These two combined are showing me some great results.

Where is Lacura available at?ALDI! ALDI? Yes!
ALDI is bringing one of Europe’s best kept beauty secrets to the U.S. as it launches its Lacura skincare in stores across the country. Created by German skincare specialists, this premium line of facial toners and cleansers; facial creams; eye creams and gels; gentle lip balm; and facial masks and peeling gels has been highly praised by beauty experts and beaten some of the biggest names in beauty in independent consumer testing.

Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Night Cream came out top in European quality tests alongside major brands such as L’Oreal, Olay and Helena Rubenstein. Meanwhile, in independent blind tests of 2,000 volunteers, Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Day Cream was voted best for its powerful anti-aging effects. Once women in Britain read about it, they cleared ALDI’s shelves, buying more than 35,000 jars in just one day. Lacura also beats competitors on price with products retailing as much as 95 percent lower than big-name brands.

“Our Lacura skincare formulas have won wide acclaim in Europe, so we’re thrilled to be bringing them to U.S. consumers,” said Joan Kavanaugh, ALDI’s vice president of corporate purchasing. “Every product features nature’s finest ingredients and the latest skincare research to really nurture the skin. In fact, we use the same hard-working ingredients you’ll find behind more expensive labels. With Lacura, enjoying firmer, fresher, feel-good skin doesn’t have to cost a fortune.”

I bought the day cream, the night cream and the facial cleanser at Aldi’s where I live in Fayetteville NC. The creams were about $1.69 each if I remember correctly and I love them. I can’t believe how cheap they are. I guess I better stock up.

 I have been using Lacura for 18 months, and was so impressed when my youngest daughter (48yrs) exclaimed “Mum, where’s your crows feet….everyone has crow’s feet”. I felt so happy! I am 72 next month and thoroughly enjoy being asked what I use to keep my skin so soft.

I use Lacura: day cream, night cream, eye cream, serum, decollette cream, makeup remover pads, cream remover, toner, shower gel and shampoo/conditioner. My husband uses the men’s moisturiser and all his skin cancer white patches have softened in colour and texture. He’s 77 and says he feels great. It smells so nice too!

I am an aged pensioner, short on cash, but I find that I can afford to use all my favorite Lacura
products as it is so cheap – but definately not nasty.

Oh, and by the way, Aldi’s roast pork is to die for!!!!

I have spent hundred’s of dollars on products to lighten the dark patches on my face since my youngest was born 16 yrs ago. Not one has delivered on the promise. By the end of summer I have 10 different shades of spots on my face with the use of sunscreen. Living in the midwest, my daughters face and mine get so dry so we bought the Q10 restorative cream and it was wonderful…no more winter face dryness but we wanted something lighter for the summer and bought the Hydrating moisturizer with sea minerals. About a week later I noticed that the blotchy spots all over my face were disappearing and even my children had commented on the fact that I had even been outside gardening all week long and the spots were getting lighter. Believe me when I say I was pleasantly surprised. I called my sisters who suffer the same fate and they have used for a little more than a week and their patches are also going away. My daughter and I joke that we are going to rent a semi and soak in this stuff because it works so well. At the moment I am experimenting and applying it to the horrid stretch marks on one side of my body….I will post if i notice a difference. I have very deep ones so this will be a true test. We  this product and are never, ever going back to using anything else.

I wouldn’t recommend this skincare product to anyone. The quality is the lowest imaginable. After application A Q10 cream you will taste it in your mouth in a minute and it is not possible to eliminate this taste for half a day. That makes me think they use something like DMSO (dimethylsulphoxide) to load their ingredients under your skin. There is onle one explanation possible for the low price – low quality.

Definitely Europe’s best kept secret! My mother & sister fell in love with this product they came across @ Aldi’s which was Lacura moisturizing body lotion so tonight I tried it and as far as I am concerned…I am sold for life!!! I absolutely love this lotion! The smell is amazing but more than that….you will love the silky skin that you are left with after. It is just perfect! I have tried several lotion products over the course of my 33 years and apply a large amount of lotion to my body on a daily basis and I have never been so blown away buy a product before. It is exactly what any person would want in a lotion. It has a great smell, has the perfect texture of not being too runny, greasy, thick or sticky and it absorbs quickly leaving your skin feeling perfectly silky smooth like the day you were born and not only that but well over an hour later…your skin still feels completely moisturized and smells good. Unbelievable!!! I highly recommend this product and after using this and just barely starting my research on it…I am convinced after reading the reviews or their other products that I must try each and every one of them. Hope I convinced you to give it a try…trust me you will be sold on it too!!! :yahoo:

THIS LACURA SKIN CARE LINE IS AWESOME .. IN THE PAST FEW YEARS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND SKIN CARE FOR MY OVERLY DRY FACE .. I EVEN HAVE DANDRUFF IN MY EYEBROWS, THAT’S HOW DRY MY SKIN IS … MY LAST PURCHASE BEFORE I BOUGHT LACURA, WAS LAMER AT NEIMANN’S … A GOOD $500.00, I SPENT JUST ON MOISTURIZER AND SERUM ….. IT DID NOTHING FOR MY SKIN, NOT TO MENTION, IT SMELLS LIKE MEDICINE …. SO THE OTHER DAY WHILE I WAS BUYING THE FABULOUS FRUITS, VEGETABLES, AND OTHER FOODS AT ALDI .. I PICKED UP THEIR SKIN CARE AND BOUGHT IT … HONESTLY WITHIN A FEW HOURS I COULD TELL A DIFFERENCE …. NOW MY FACE A FEW DAYS LATER IS THE BEST IT HAS EVER BEEN SINCE MY 20′S … (I’M 46 NOW) …. I LOVE THIS LACURA SKIN CARE !!!!!

I’m 50 years old and enjoy trying various skin products so after reading about Lacura I decided to give it a whirl.
I’ve been using the Lacura Q10 Restorative cream at night for about one week and really love the way it is absorbed so quickly. I also use the eye gel and appreciate that it is not greasy, which means eye makeup can go on just after application, with no smearing.
I’m using the foundation, too and love the texture, coverage and smell of the product. It evens out my skin tone nicely, but doesn’t feel heavy or look plastic.
The prices just can’tbe beat for this line so I intend to try the other products as well.

    Meghan Reply:

@JC, I have read the ingredients in these products and they are NOT cheap! I personally think Aldi’s has introduced these products at such a lower price in order to get people to use the entire line & experiment to see which products they like best. Germany has very strict guidelines about product ingredients…. and these are NOT cheap in Germany.

However, I too have VERY sensitive eyes & allergies and always try any new product first for a week on chin & jawline areas staying away from the eye area altogether.

NEVER WOULD I SMEAR A NEW PRODUCT OVER MY ENTIRE FACE WITHOUT TESTING IT FOR A WEEK ON A SMALLER AREA.

I have found all these Products superior to anything by Olay or Roc…
but I have not used any of the eye area products nor do I intend to use them.

I’ve been shopping at Aldi in the Midwestern U.S. for about ten years now – I’ve really got to say that overall I’ve been 100% delighted with my experience with them over that time. For those of you who don’t live in the U.S., at one time (going back about six years or a bit more) there was a ’stigma’ attached to shopping at an Aldi – many, many people turned up their noses at shopping at one of ‘those’. I’ve always found their products to be every bit as good – or better – than the name brands. There are a few of their products I absolutely do not like, but they’re few in number.

Okay – off the Aldi Soapbox and on to my opinion of LaCura.

I’ve been using Olay products since I was in my twenties. I’m nearing 50 (oh, dear) and had started using Olay’s exfoliating products. When I say the LaCura, I thought that for the price, it was worth an ‘experiment’. I purchased the exfoliating cleanser tube, the leave-on masque, and their wrinkle cream for day wear.

I’ve used the exfoliating cleanser every day for nearly two weeks, the cream during the day and have used the mask twice.

I guess I should start by letting you all know that I am a caucasian female, near 50 years of age and I have extremely fair skin (red hair, blue eyes; the whole Scottish/Irish/English ancestry bit) – because of this, I’ve never been much of a sun worshipper and while I don’t yet have truly deep lines or sagging, I do have small melanin patches, a few small warts (HORRORS!) and the usual large pores that come with older skin. My skin – at times -can be sensitive to products. Except for my forehead, my skin tends to be on the dry side.

I REALLY like the exfoliating cleanser. The ‘granules’ are in a thick, creamy base which lathers nicely, seems to clean throughly and rinses easily. My skin feels very clean, has a nice glow and the oily forehead issue seems to have lessened a bit. Some have objected to the scent but I like it – it’s a very ‘green’ note – a vegetable/woodland/fresh main scent with a subtle hint of what seems to be mint/rose. Don’t laugh but I’ve also used this exfoliator for my legs and arms for dry skin and it feels marvelous. Rinses off cleanly.

The masque: Again, the fragrance does not bother me and seems to have a bit more floral in it than the scrub. So far, I can’t tell much difference one way or the other but I DO like the way my skin feels after it is rinsed off. I do want to caution again that I am extremely fair-skinned and noted that my forehead seemed ‘irritated’ afterwards – not sore, itchy or tingly mind you, but it was ’splotchy’ pink in a few places. This DID go away a short time after.

I really like the day moisturizer (green lid) the fragrance is barely noticeable and the product is so rich that I do not need to use much. I do not wear a liquid makeup foundation – light powder only and a bit of blush powder.

On the whole I will say that my skin DOES seem to look a bit better after two weeks. My forehead is not as oily as it was and the lines around my mouth and eyes do not seem as noticeable. The products have not caused me any discomfort, rash or irritation (other than the masque and it was a very brief reaction) and the cream does a good job of ‘holding’ my powder makeup in place.

At this point, I give LaCura an 8 on a scale of 1-10, compareed to Oil of Olay products and Clinique, which I have also used for many years.

Now, when George Clooney passes me on the street, asks me for a date and says, “My Word! You don’t look a day over twenty-five, we’ll know LaCura REALLY does the trick!” LOL

Luck to all you ladies out there!

    Nancy

I cannot believe how much I love the Lacura line. I have been using the hydrating toner and cleanser along with the eye cream. I still have some moisturizer left (different brand) so I am waiting til that’s gone before making the day/night cream purchase. I have used a lot of different types of skin care and this one has given me amazing results. I have sensitive acne prone skin and was concerned about switching skin care. I am so glad I did. My skin is radiant and glowing.

One thing you need to take into account is what’s in the cream, as a formulator of cosmetic products for a good number of years I’m well aware that what feels good on your skin may not be what you might want on your skin.

One of the ingredients that is cause for concern is the parabens in many cosmetic products. You might want to do a Google on “BBC Parabens” to see the concerns for women and for men.

If you don’t believe what the BBC has to say (rememnber they aren’t “selling anything”, then do a Google for “Stark Warning Paraben” to see what the World Health Organization has to say, about the dangers to women and children.

Parabens are preservatives used in many cosmetic products, there are safer preservatives, but, they are more expensive, you get what you pay for, but having said that even the very expensive products are little more than “Chemical Concoctions”, formulated for Profit, not for Perfection, often laced with parabens.

The best cream that I’m aware of is made (to order) by “Welby Healthcare” in Scotland (I don’t work for them, I’m just calling it like it is).

They produce a cream called “Skin Deep” {al la, Beauty is, Skin Deep), not only is it a paraben and petroleum free cream, it’s based on wholly on Food Grade Ingredients. The cream is made to order in small batches, and in my opinion is the finest moisturizer and conditioner that money can buy.

As above I have no direct connection with Welby, other than having worked on a couple of projects with them, as they say, I have no commercial interest in this cream that Anne @ Welby has formulated.

My comments are simply to advise of the pitfalls of not knowing what’s in the cosmetics that you could be using for 30-40 years, and to respectfully recognise when a fellow formulator has come up with an incredible product.

You won’t see “Skin Deep” on the shelves, unlike the products that are Mass produced this credible anti aging cream is Lab produced in small batches for an almost exclusive clientele.

Feel free to track Welby down, and if you speak to Anne, netion that Bob (from Canada) sent you her way. The last time I spoke to Anne the cream was around 50 GBP for 50mls, but well worth knowing the cream is safe enough to eat, let alone apply to your skin, and that it actually works.

I had my doubts but I’m glad I tried it. I plan to stick with it. I have to say though that the lip balm is not so great. I dont’ recommend it. I’ve read elsewhere that the make up isn’t so great but the skin care has gotten a lot of positive feed back.
