There are so many things in life that we think about: family, what’s for dinner, what is Tucker going to wear to school… but what we don’t think about, is who will take care of our kids, our home, our estate and even our cat in the event that something should happen to either, or both, of us. I was given the blessed opportunity to work with LegalZoom.
What is LegalZoom? If you haven’t heard of them, here is a ‘low down’:
Chances are writing a will is something you or your readers have not thought a lot about. Like most people, creating this type of document seems like an odd thing to do at a young age, but a will provides peace of mind that your wishes will be fulfilled should the unthinkable happen.
After you make the big decisions that are part of the will planning process, LegalZoom can turn those wishes a legally-binding document. Packages start at $69, an affordable deal that saves most families an average of $471 compared to hiring a lawyer.
You don’t have to visit an attorney to get your will started. While I started mine last month, I was able to go back through it, update it, add things to it from who will take our kids should something happen to us, beneficiaries, estate settlement.

With LegalZoom, YOU are your own attorney basically. There are so many legal binding documents that you can create, all in the comfort of your own home:

I had a few questions along the way and I have to say that I am very impressed with the replies that were fired back at me. I was not too clear as to terms such as beneficiary & how to divide our estate planning, but with my questions that I asked, I got answers very quickly! There is an online guidance and tons of ‘help me’ sections that you can click on if you are not sure what the term means.
A plus about LegalZoom is that it allows people to take care of their legal needs at their own pace. So create an account and get started with the process – you can work on your will a little at a time or all at once. LegalZoom doesn’t require payment information until the end of the. Again, just another way that LegalZoom makes the process of handling your legal needs flexible and more convenient.
LegalZoom made it easy for me to go through and create my will. At the end, it tells me how much my Will is to be processed and shipped to me. So much more affordable than hiring an attorney, that’s for sure!
Once I get my Will in, I will make another post about the delivery and actual finished product.
At check out, I was told this:
A lawyer would charge you approximately $871.95 for this last will and testament.
You save $651.00 with LegalZoom.
I loved everything about this from registration, filling in the information and check out. The price is very affordable, especially when you can budget out the middle man (attorney) and do it yourself.
