When it comes to our children, of course we always want the best for them and their health. I recently heard about the amazing things that Victory Junction does, a camp in North Carolina that specializes in enriching the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. I am beyond excited to share with you who they are and all that they do for our youth.

At Victory Junction, they believe that every child, no matter their illness or diagnosis, should enjoy normal childhood experiences. I grew up loving to go to camp, however not all of our young ones are able to go to camp because of their health. Victory Junction is here to help all those little ones get to experience camp just as all kids should.

The Victory Junction camp experience is available to children ages six to 16, always at no cost to campers or their families.

Camp is available to children ages six to 16. The Victory Junction experience is a welcome break for children who spend most of their year receiving medical treatments and attending countless hospital visits.

Some of the illnesses served at Victory Junction are:

  • Bleeding Disorders
  • Burn Survivors
  • Cancer
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Craniofacial Anomalies
  • Diabetes
  • Gastrointestinal Disorders
  • Genetic Disorders
  • Heart Disease
  • Immunologic Disorders
  • Kidney Disorders
  • Lung Disease
  • Neurological Disorders
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Rheumatologic Disorders
  • Sickle Cell Disease
  • Skin Disorders

I applaud for their organization and hard work to do this for our kids. Every child should be able to experience adventures such as camp, even if they have an illness or sickness. Camps such as Victory Junction allow so many kids to to experience what a lot of us did as kids; ride horses, camp out with friends, hiking and so much more.

Victory Junction was founded by the Petty family in honor of Adam Petty in 2004 and since have served more than 22,000 campers. This amazing organization sits on 84 acres with so many fun activities for the kids ages 6 to 16 with chronic medical conditions and serious illness to enjoy. Victory Junction is accredited by the American Camping Association and a member of SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by Paul Newman.
