Lysol No Touch System *Giveaway* (Closed)

We have hand soap and hand sanitizer in just about every room. With the threat of so many germs and sickness, we are taking just about every precaution that is available to us and our family. We don’t keep the family in a ‘bubble’, so we do the next best thing – we use Lysol products all over our home. I wanted to share with you a new product that is out, that I have seen in stores and have been curious about. I am very excited to share my experience with you all!

Despite elevated concerns about illness-causing germs, most families don’t suspect that their household soap pumps might actually be transferring bacteria to their hands. However, a recent study found that soap pumps can harbor hundreds of bacteria. Every time families touch their soap pumps, they may be spreading and collecting bacteria to and from their hands.

Now, LYSOL®, the number one surface disinfectant brand recommended by pediatricians, has expanded its fight against germs into personal care with the introduction of the No-Touch Hand Soap System – a revolutionary way to help keep hands healthy. For use in the kitchen or bathroom, it helps stop the spread of germs by automatically sensing hands and dispensing antibacterial soap that kills 99.9% of bacteria, including E.coli, MRSA and Strep. The hand soaps are also enriched with moisturizing ingredients and available in three fresh scents. With the LYSOL® No-Touch Hand Soap System, families never have to touch a germy soap pump again.

Lysol No Touch System

“One of the most useful lessons parents can teach their children from an early age is to practice proper and frequent hand washing,” says Dr. Laura Jana, pediatrician and mother of three. “Moms are so busy juggling schedules every day that the last thing they want to worry about is whether their children are spreading and collecting germs via their hands, especially during cold and flu season. Products such as Lysol’s new hand washing system can help make teaching and reinforcing hand hygiene easier for everyone and rewarding for mom.”

Hands may come into contact with millions of germs at home and in the community every day. Consequently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends hand washing as the number one way to avoid getting sick and prevent the spread of germs to others. Parents should teach their children to wash their hands throughout the day – before eating and after using the bathroom – and the entire family should follow these CDC-recommended steps:

  • Wet hands with clean running water and apply soap. Use warm water if it is available
  • Rub hands together to make lather and scrub all surfaces, including underneath the nails and back of the hands
  • Continue rubbing hands for 20 seconds, long enough to sing the “Happy Birthday” song twice
  • Rinse hands well under running water
  • Dry hands using a paper towel or air dryer. If possible, use a paper towel to turn off the faucet

LYSOL® Healthy Touch™ No-Touch Hand Soap System Starter Kits are now available in Soothing Cucumber Splash scent and Cleansing Green Tea & Ginger™ scent at Walmart for a suggested retail price of $9.97 (includes 1-dispenser, 1-8.5 oz. hand soap refill and 4 AA batteries). Hand soap refills (8.5 oz.) are available in three fresh scents, Soothing Cucumber Splash scent, Cleansing Green Tea & Ginger™ scent and Refreshing Grapefruit Essence™ scent at Walmart for a suggested retail price of $3.47. Starter kits and hand soap refills will also be available at grocery, drug and mass stores nationwide.

MG thoughts

We had the opportunity to try out the Soothing Cucumber Splash scent. Overall – we love it! The scent is great! The system is a great idea! I love that all you have to do is put your hand in front of the sensor and the soap comes out, straight in to your hand. The kids have fun and I have seen them want to use soap more than they used to. The beginning cost is less than $10.00. I saw one locally for just above $9.00. I think that is a great starter price, and it comes with batteries! While the batteries don’t necessarily last too long, they are a great addition to the package. The refill price is under $4.00.

Do I have any complaints? No! (Other than the extremely thick and hard to open packaging – seriously the hardest package to get open) I don’t have any complaints about the product itself, but I do have a suggestion for this system. I would LOVE to see a Lysol Healthy Touch System to be available in a hand sanitizer system as well. We go through more hand sanitizer in our home than anything! With hubby’s job, he would love to have a hand sanitizer system on his desk!

I keep Lysol antibacterial wipes in the bathroom and kitchen so that the family can use them on sink & frig handles and for door knobs. We also keep hand sanitizer right out side the door so hands can be done after playing before handling door knobs and chairs. We also practice washing our hands frequently. I also bought tissues this year to keep in the house with antibacterial in them to help stop the spread of germs in the house. These are all common day practice in most homes but I also believe in old remedies because of this I also keep a pealed onion in two rooms of the house. No they don’t stink up the house and it’s cheap so why not. I would love to try the Lysol No Touch System because then I could stop using the Lysol antibacterial wipes to clean the soap dispenser~! lol Thanks for Sharing this review and giveaway. Oh and if your wondering about the onion thing. Just google “The Onion Story” and you should find out why I use them.

We fight germs by washing our hands frequently and keeping our hands away from our face. We also use hand sanatizers when away from home. The Lysol pump sounds like a great idea and I’d really like to give it a try.

One big way we help not to spread germs is to stay home when we aren’t feeling well. I don’t send the kids to school if they are feeling sick and I don’t rush them back to school.
