Mealtime Messes & Mally Bibs: The Original Leather Bib *Review & Giveaway!*

I cannot tell you how many bibs we have tried or even tried to find that were durable, that were cute and that .. well.. worked! I tried tie on bibs, but they weren’t doing anything for us; at all. I had the opportunity to check out a leather bib from Mally Bibs.

Mally Designs Ltd. began with a simple idea. In 2005, Nicole Garza, mother of two, designed a leather baby bib. Why leather? It’s durable, easy to clean, stain resistant, natural and safe material. Today the company is run by husband and wife team, Ron and Nicole Garza. Our leather bibs, known as mally bibs™ are now available in hundreds of stores around the world. We believe in supporting our own economy as much as we can. We manufacture in our own factory in Canada, where we employ talented seamstresses and crafts people.

I have to say that not only is this precious, but the way it is made is beyond amazing. I love how easy it is to clean (simply run under water and let air dry). We even tried it with spaghetti. You know how hard things are to get clean from spaghetti, right? Mally bib was easy to clean, even after spaghetti.

Care instructions:

• Simply wipe down with a cloth or rinse after each use and use a mild detergent when necessary.
• Machine washing is not recommended.
• Do not put a Mally Bib near electronic equipment as the strength of the magnets could interfere.

From a mom’s point of view:

• Our Mally Bib is very cute and definitely does its’ job. Probably better than some bibs I have purchased locally.
• At first, I thought the price is a bit steep, BUT after calculating how much I have spent on disposable pocket bibs (at least $5 a box) tie bibs that I have purchased and ended up hating or falling apart after just one use, and some canvas bibs that I have bought locally, this price is affordable and with it being made of leather, you know it will last a long time; if not the entire duration of your toddler’s ‘bib needs’.
• I love that the ‘clasp’ is a magnet. At first, I thought ‘oh, boy.. this will come off faster than I can put it on!’, but that was not the case here. The magnet stayed on, even when Kam pulled it.
• I love that the Mally bib is double sided. Two bibs in one!
