If there was ever one thing in my house that I love to have, it’s personalized things that remind me of my family and that has those moments captured in a way that will bring a smile to anyone’s face when they walk in my home. I had the amazing opportunity to work with Modern Bird Studios, and I can say that of all the reviews I have done for artwork, this is one that has left an impression in my heart.
Modern Bird Studios is a family business that is here to preserve your precious memories on a handmade art piece that will bring a fun style to your home and a lasting memory for times to come. Modern Bird Studios provides personalized modern art from your photography. Each piece is hand-painted on wood.
The concept behind Modern Bird Studios was born about three years ago as an experiment he had bouncing around in his head. Gregg has always liked to push the boundaries within his art, whether playing with space or combining traditional and non-traditional mediums. He decided to create a piece that utilized technology and painting. Gregg combines his original urban-style with photography, graphic design and traditional painting to create handmade, original art pieces.
I wanted to share my entire experience with you. The process was not only easy to get started with, it was fun!
When you log on to www.modernbirdstudios.com, you get to pick the size of art piece that you prefer. These sizes range from a smaller size of 6 X 12, up to a larger size of 46 X 46. Once you pick the size you would like, you then get to select a two tone color scheme. This can be something to fit your home colors, and would also be a great gift for just about anyone!
Pick a color scheme from the color chart on their site. Once you choose your size and color scheme, you get to go through and pick your product selections. This is your order process that includes your name, uploading an image for your piece, choosing the colors (primary color & secondary color), choosing the layout, you can choose to have your piece hung on the wall, or you could easily add it to an easel in your home. Once you go through these steps, you can add your Facebook account & Twitter accounts so that you can be notified of updates on your piece. After this, add any notes that you have. Maybe you have a question, a preference, etc.. you add them in the notes section.

What I loved was that I was kept in the loop during every process that my piece was in. I was emailed and even Tweeted all throughout the time frame and kept up to date on how it was going. The updates were fun and exciting! Once my piece was proofed, I got to see several color schemes, and approve one for my final piece.
I really loved the red tones! I approved it, and once it arrived, I seriously had tears in my eyes! It is gorgeous! I have never seen a piece like this. I was speechless and excited!

What do we think of this piece? LOVE IT! It is gorgeous! As I said above, I literally had tears in my eyes when it arrived. It is a great addition to our home, and is a great gift idea for anyone! The price for this size (12 X 24) is $280.00. Do I think this price is worth it? Absolutely I do! This is hand made, from your picture. It’s not just a photo hanging on your wall… it is your memory, your photo, with some fun and creation added to it. The wood is a thick Oak composite that is sealed and your image is added to it with a combination of digital, hand, and painting. This is clearly not your average artwork; there is a lot of work that went in to this. I can tell that this piece took time to make and that there was heart put in to the creation. I love this and would recommend it to anyone!
Warning: Owning a custom piece from Modern Bird Studios may result in random smiles from visitors in your home, changes to your home such as moving around your furniture and additional fees incurred because once you get the piece, you will want to do what I am about to do and paint the opposite wall of your living room to make the art piece pop in your room.
