I cannot begin to express what Mother’s Day means to me. For those that know me personally, it is a hard, yet loving, yet extremely memorable event for me. Yes, I have two children at home, but I have another daughter that lives with her dad and step family. I do not write about her a lot, for privacy reasons. Mother’s Day, to me, screams emotions. It screams love. It screams thoughts from beyond that I can even type or express about. Mother’s Day, to me, is a day that recognizes those thoughts, that recognizes that love, that knows who I am and where I am right now. I truly love Mother’s Day. It lets me be recognized for the love that I have for my kids and my family. I have so many thoughts and so many wishes for my children. Mother’s Day is a day of appreciation for all those noses that are wiped, for all those bandaids that are put on skinned knees and for all those times that you simply need to cuddle.
What is a great way to refresh all those memories that are right there, in the front of your mind? Flowers! I have to say that I used to be a person that would say “Ah, flowers? Nah. Just buy me a summer outfit or something for my house, instead of buying flowers.” Flowers do not last forever, but the memories that lies behind them last forever. Literally – forever. The days that my babies were born changed my life. Those tears that were shed those days, the smiles that continue to land on my face and the tingle that is in my heart every step of their lives is simply indescribable. The thought of flowers is truly amazing and heart warming.
When I had the opportunity to work with Colombia Flowers, my heart skipped a beat, if not stopped for a split second. Very fun and memorable opportunity!
Here is what I received
- 20 fresh-cut Gerbera daisies
- Mug with Colombia, land of flowers logo
- One brick of floral foam
- Rubber bands and ribbon
- Filling for the mug
- Step-by-step how-to Flower Topiary arrangement recipe
- Care and handling flyer
All this came in a box and I was to put the arrangement together. I was asked to make a Flower Topiary. Up until this opportunity, I did not realize that you could make a Topiary from flowers. I was very excited to get started!

Kambry helped. Tucker was outside helping daddy mow.

I love flowers because you can send an arrangement to someone in mourning, for someone’s birthday, or even for Mother’s Day and it is as if you are right there… In person. Basically, I call flowers ‘delivered hugs and love’. What else can they be called?
Here is a video to show you what I received from Colombia Flowers, how I arranged them and .. well.. You can check for yourself.
I love to type reviews and thoughts, but I can speak a lot through images. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I loved taking these pictures. Here are a few pictures that I took inside and around my home to show you the gorgeous

Here is my table set up for Mother’s Day. We don’t have any plans set in stone, but will most likely have a nice family breakfast, then head out for the day for some family fun! On my table, I have fabric (leftover from my curtains), candles, tall glass vase with coffee beans and a floral arrangement with copper wire flowing down the outside, and of course, my beautiful Colombia flowers (topiary w that includes 20 fresh-cut Gerbera daisies). Whatever our plans may be, you can bet that I will take pictures and videos to show you all. Capture those precious memories!

You can preview some more pictures that I took here:
I can tell you that after this blessed opportunity, I am ordering flowers for mom and step-mom for Mother’s Day. Send a smile!
No matter what your plans are for Mother’s Day, enjoy your day with your families. Color outside of the lines. Have a water fight outside with your kids. Have fun this Mother’s Day and enjoy every kiss, every drool, every moment. Thank you so much to Colombia Flowers and to the awesome girls at Circle PR for this opportunity!

I hope you had a very Happy Mother’s day yesterday! Your pictures look amazing!

I am SO happy you’re one of the few NOT promoting 1-800-Flowers! I would urge your avid readers (and everyone else) to seek their flower deliveries elsewhere. The company treats their employees terribly, and the floral arrangements are never what you see in the ads. I could go on and on, but…
Anyway, I hope “MommyGoggles” gets loads of beautiful offerings on Mother’s Day…including hugs from a special B&W girlie!!
BTW, Milano’s favourite playmate while she was here was adopted yesterday!!
