I am an avid texter. I admit this. A lot of times, when the kids are loud a lot of times its just easier for me to text than it is to make that phone call that can be answered in one sentence. Ah, the life of a mommy!
I saw the Motorola Hint and was really curious as to what it can do, how the keyboard was, what the screen was like, how it sounded, how the reception was and so much more.
Here is some information about the Motorola Hint from US Cellular:

Well, for the last 3 weeks or so, I have been using the Motorola Hint and I am impressed with everything about it. The phone is a cute phone, but really didn’t do what all I wanted a phone to do, without having to pay an arm and a leg for full internet services. What I like about the Motorola Hint (used with US Cellular) is that you have the option to be able to check your emails, see it on the main screen and reply as you want, without having to go deep in to a menu, then off to some ‘offsite’ that charges for internet usage on your cell phone. With US Cellular and the Motorola Hint, you can pay for a monthly service (it is $9.95 a month) and you can have unlimited access to a service called Easy Edge and you can read and reply to emails right from your Motorola Hint. I really liked this feature and think it is well worth adding on the extra $9.95 service on your monthly plan.
The keyboard is full qwerty, but does take some getting used to. Over 18 months ago, I had purchased a longer qwerty keyboard phone with my current cellular provider. The keyboard on the Hint is not as wide, but it is still a full qwerty for easy and fast texting. Like I said, it does take some getting use to, but in the 3 weeks I have been using the Hint, I am getting the hang of it and really do like it!
The slider portion of the Hint is really nice! There are some buttons ON the top of the phone, but you can opt to have those keys lock when you slide the keyboard closed. When you get a call, simply slide the phone open and Walah – phone call is easy to take!
There are 6 main options on the screen. Easy Edge, Messaging, Email, Bluetooth, Multimedia, & Datebook. Very easy to navigate around on with the arrow key on the top slider.
How does the phone sound? I have only had one person tell me that the reception didn’t sound very well; like I was in a can, but I do believe it was that connection between our phones at that time. The other calls were clear.
The reception in my house has been great and traveling had been great as well. I have another brand of cell phone that I have been using, and the reception was only about 2 bars or so. I was told it was a cross between the brand of the phone and our house. Our house? Well, I guess with our 1900 home, our walls are a thick plaster which can interfere with reception. Who would have thought?
Overall: I really like this phone! It is small enough to keep in your pocket or purse, yet has nice reception and a lot of options on it.

I love all Motorola products, so I’m sure it would pass the test for great quality. It’s made for U.S. Cellular which is the best provider for the area I live in and even traveling across the U.S. I like the idea of saving up to 300 texts so I can refer back to some if necessary. I like the full qwerty pad, slider keypad, the display size and the full HTML browser are just a few of the good features. There are so many more things to mention about the Motorola Hint that makes it a great phone to want to use and own.

I also love that it has a full-color 2.5” widescreen display, which makes it easy to be able to read what you are looking at! The The slider portion of the Hint is also fantastic, but most of all I love that I can be away from the home and still be able to keep in touch with family and friends using every vehicle possible, phone, texting, internet, and it sounds like it is easy to use and navigate with! Thank you so much for the chance to enter.

Hallo
Love the hidden querty keyboard, and the design. Compact! Love it.
I like the full keyboard for easy typing.
First of all I think I would LOVE the Hint because it is made by Motorola (we’ve seen great quality in their phones in comparison to others the past 10 years). Also…I like the sliders best and the full keypad. My teen would be the one using this if we would get a chance to try this phone. Yep…it’s all about the texting at that age!!!

My favorite feature of the Hint is the Qwerty Keyboard.
My children tend to text me more than they call and I am definitely NOT on their level of texting.
To me the qwerty keyboard would make texting for me so much easier and quicker.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.
The main thing I like is CLEAR reception. The clearer the reception the better.

USB connection and the camera and especially the date book. so many nice features on the phone. I have always wanted a camera on the phone to take quick pictures of the kids doing something unexpected and be able to email them to family and friends. The date book is important to me, I carry a calendar with me and this would make it so much easier. Reading email on the go will be so nice to do when out traveling, no more missed emails.
