LOVE IT! Refreshing Ice Tea from Mr. Coffee’s 3 Quart Ice Tea Maker *Review & Giveaway*

logo21

Did you know that June is the national iced tea month? Yes! I had no idea there was such a thing. What is a better way to kick off summer than with a tall glass of iced tea? I am a HUGE ice tea fan! I cannot have caffeine, so my passion is caffeine free ice tea with lemon in it. Yummy!

While we are all looking to save money, and Mr. Coffee is helping us not spend a whole lot of money, and getting the most of it as well! I am utterly addicted to the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker! I have to say that I use this at least once every other day, if not more!

Mr. Coffee® 3 Quart Iced Tea Maker
Refresh and renew with your summer-time brew. The Mr. Coffee® Iced Tea Maker brews tea bags and leaves, allowing consumers to select personalized brew strengths. With adjustable tea steeping control, an on/off indicator light and an auto shut-off feature, you’ll be brewing in no time.

Mr. Coffee® 3 Quart Iced Tea Maker – TM75
3 quart iced tea maker
Features:

  • Dishwasher Safe Pitcher
  • Steeping Lever to select your favorite brew strength
  • Makes great tasting iced tea
  • Brews Tea Bags and Tea Leaves
  • Water Window
  • Adjustable Tea Steeping Control
  • Auto Shut-Off
  • On/off indicator light
  • Removable brew basket

What I loved about this ice tea maker is it isn’t big and bulky. We don’t have a whole lot of cabinet or counter space, so this was a huge plus for me. Usually we keep it on the counter, right above where the dishwasher is, or we keep it on our bar island.

I also love how big the pitcher is! While you can only put 3 quarts of water in to the iced tea maker at a time, the pitcher is huge! You can fill it with more water or ice, depending on how strong you like your tea.

The timing for the tea to brew is nothing what I expected. I was expecting it to take a long time, but overall, it took between 5 and 7 minutes.

How easy is clean up? Very! The pitcher is dishwasher safe. In my video, you can see how tea stained the pitcher and brew basket were, but you can easily clean those and get the stains out with bleach, or what I have been doing is wiping them down after each use with a Clorox wipe.

How does the tea taste? Ahhhh! Very good!

The Mr. Coffee 3 Quart Ice Tea Maker is around $24.99 and is available at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kmart, Meijer and Kohl’s.

My husband loves ice tea—only he likes it really strong–so everyday from June to September I make a huge pot of hot tea let it cool for a few hours and put it in the fridge–I use 4 raspberry stash tea bags, and 2 pg tips tea bags and leave them in 6 hours anything less isn’t strong enough for him and I hate it—and he doesn’t get it some days he drinks the whole batch by noon and doesn’t understand why he can’t have more –now! I need this!!

Mint is delicious with iced tea!
I like to add fruit ice-cubes. All you do is add the fruit pieces ( pieces of cantaloupe, raspberries, your fruit of choice) to the ice cube tray. add some of the iced tea on top of it and freeze. When serving, add the cubes to your see thru glasses. So much fun!

I actually don’t add anything to my iced tea, but I don’t make it that often. If I made it more often, I would probably by some of that flavoring syrup they sell for coffee and try various flavors of that to see how that works out.
