    For me, since my children and grandchildren are grown, a family night often consists of them coming in for a short time, talking, usually eating something, and sometimes watching a movie or something on TV.

    Our family nights usually have pizza with everyone’s favorite toppings. Often that means more than one pizza to get everyone covered :) Sometimes we play board games and sometimes we watch movies. There’s a two year old involved, so nothing requires too much concentration!

    My family night in’s are every saturday night we order pizza and rent movies. We always get something for the kids to watch and for us to watch. It’s fun just to have everybody gather around the big screen tv in the living room and have that family time together.

    With two teenagers ‘a night in’ is rare. To get together we usually go to the cottage, no cell phone service, no electricity (generator) no computers. We spend the evening sitting around the fire talking and laughing. Those times are the best!
