Get Eco-Friendly with PeopleTowels *Review*

We do not buy Paper Towels. I don’t like the thought of using something and throwing it away, when I could just as easy buy a product that is eco-friendly. I was just introduced to PeopleTowels.

The Current Situation
The use of disposable paper towels is having a devastating impact on the environment. Some of the facts about paper towel consumption and its impact are:

  • To make one ton of paper towels, 17 trees and 20,000 gallons of water are polluted.
  • Every day, over 3,000 tons of paper towel waste is produced in the US alone.
  • Decomposing paper towels produce methane gas, a leading cause of global warming.
  • The average person uses 2,400 – 3,000 paper towels at work, in a given year.

Are Public Bathrooms the Next Frontier for Saving the Planet?
PeopleTowels make “going green” easy. If you alone switch from paper towels to PeopleTowels, in one year you will save 1/4 of a tree, reduce landfill waste by 23 pounds and conserve 250 gallons of water.

Mom’s thoughts

  • I think they are really cute and nothing like your ordinary kitchen towel. I am always up for something unique in my kitchen. I will be honest and say that I thought the price is a little on the high side, but when you consider that you are saving so much by not buying paper towels, the good outweighs the price. Overall, we really like PeopleTowels and have already recommended PeopleTowels to some friends!
