Pretend Play Food: Birthday Cake Set from Pretend Play Kitchen Shop *Video Review & Giveaway* (Closed)

Last month, I posted about the Kitchen Helper from Pretend Play Kitchen Shop. If this fantastic tool wasn’t the best that we have ever had in our home, it gets better! Not only does Pretend Play Kitchen Shop have the Kitchen Helper, they also have the most adorable Pretend Kitchens and accessories out there. We have been looking just about everywhere for wooden play food, so when I saw the sets that Pretend Play Kitchen Shop has, I was in awe – for the lack of a better word.

Here is a video of the kids playing with the birthday cake set. You can see how many pieces come with this set and how the kids love it. Yes, there are a lot of pieces, but who knows who will be hungry for a full stacked cake, or a half a slice. ;)

We have a 1900 home, so the front of our home used to be a porch and is now a closed in entry way. This is the kids’ kitchen area. Perfect for what we use it for!

Pieces included

  • There are 22 pieces, including a serving tray, a serving knife, four slices of cake and four candles. While it does have a lot of pieces (some parents may dread a lot of pieces with toys) this has to be a great set to own. The kids work together to build the cake together, it helps build their imaginary skills, my kids have actually been wanting to play together with this set and the Cake set is very realistic. So much fun! This has to be the cutest set I have ever seen. I love that it came with a serving tray, play knife (safe for kids, not sharp). I LOVE the candles! I can go on and on!

Mom’s Thoughts

  • Don’t tell my kids, but I have been known to play with this set, without them around. This is a fun set that is a must in any home. When I first ‘heard’ of wooden play food, I thought ‘what in the world’, but as a parent, I love the durability, the quality and the price is very well worth it. I have spent at least half this price on plastic play food that lasted about 2 days. I would rather pay a bit more for better quality, longer lasting toys and something that is as realistic as they come!

This holiday season, what are you looking for, for the little ones? Pretend Play Kitchen Shop has a huge line of pretend play food, accessories and beautiful play kitchens. On top of that, guess what? Free shipping!!
