Sam’s Club Advantage Plus Membership saves us money! *Giveaway Closed*

Sams-Club-BadgeI will be honest when I tell you that I have never been in to coupon clipping or scoping for savings, that is – until I became a stay at home mother last year. We would just go to the store, whatever store was nearby regardless of the price, and get what we needed, or go without.

Well, guess what? I love my coupons and I will even brag about my coupon cutting, coupon organization and hey – hubby think’s it’s pretty cool that I am keen in to saving more. What we can save, we put aside in a savings ‘can’ that I have for traveling to New York next year. Savings = second honemoon. Hey, that’s nice!

I was more than thrilled to be one of 15 FABULOUS bloggers to work with Sam’s Club in a new program called “Sharing the Savings”. The other awesome savers in my group are:

Sam’s Club has rolled out a new program that will allow their members to take part in a new paperless coupon system that they are implementing. I am very excited to be a part of this program!

Sams-Club-eValue

It’s called eValues. It will offer additional discounts and offers, on top of their everyday savings, for Sam’s Club Plus Members only. Today, we went to Sam’s for the second time in a week. I know – bad me. When you see savings, you have to take those savings when you are able to! Just today, when I went in to Sam’s, I scanned my Sam’s Club Plus Member card and 4 pages of SAVINGS printed out – just for me! Well, having screaming kids in the house, I desperately needed some Advil, and today, I saved $3.00 on a large count of Advil. Bring on the screaming. Go ahead!

scan0001

Not only will you get electronic discounts right off the bat, you won’t have to worry with clipping and forgetting your coupons on the car. This, I am very guilty of doing. With my Sam’s Club Plus Membership, I can save money on the things that I already purchase!

I wanted to take you through our entire shopping experience. Enjoy!

Kids are more than ready! They were so excited to see the double shopping cart. LOL!

First stop? Who can deny Sam’s pretzels and awesome snack area?

Not far from Pretzel’land, we walked by and Tucker saw these:

Here are some savings that I found right away. We go through a lot of cheese, butter and I made bread, almost daily! Who can pass up a 25 pound bag of bread floud for right around $7? Now that we have a larger fridge & freezer, we can fit things like snacks, steaks, cheese and more!

The clothing selection – oh, holy moly! Fabulous!!

If you need underwear, Sam’s is the place to go. Kim really loves their under garments

Do you think I am happy to save? You bet!

There was just one thing that I was sad not to see. Oscar Mayer Weiners. Tucker was too.

Guess what? I have another Sam’s Club Plus Membership to give away! If you missed the giveaway last month, it’s ok! I have more to give away!

We live in a very rural area and it takes us a long time to get to a good store. So, we do one big shopping trip once a month and the bulk of it is at Sam’s. I make most everything from scratch and I cook in bulk, so we have ready-made, healthy meals on hand on those days when it’s just been too hectic to cook. That saves us big money over eating out or getting fast food.

A Sam’s Club Advantage Plus card would help us save even more when we do our “big” shopping because it would offer discounts not otherwise available to us.

    Geoff K says:

Living on a budget isn’t always easy, but I’ve made it a challenge to find ways to save money beyond coupons and rebates — some of the tips I’ve learned are: not to be afraid of thrift stores and consignment stores (on the contrary, there are some great hidden treasures there and at garage/estate sales), to shop for off-season/clearance items everywhere (even grocery stores like Kroger have clearance bins!), and to save my really big purchases for tax holidays. I’d also love to be able to shop at Sam’s Club so I can stock up on items I can easily store and save, such as soap, vitamins, razor blades, canned goods, cleaning supplies, etc. That would be a huge help to our household budget for sure – thanks!

I always shop on clearance…everywhere! …especially Target.. they have the best clearance stuff.. 75% off! I’ve always wanted a Sam’s Club membership but I’m such a penny pincher that I don’t want to pay for the membership fee. If I won it I’m sure I’d spend a lot of money there…. they would make a ton more money if they didn’t charge a membership fee

I also save money by having a small garden with peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, swiss chard and a few other veggies. Having a Sam’s Club Card would allow me to stock up on items that will keep for some time (like the big bag of flour you bought!). I would also be able to take my parents to Sam’s club. They live out in the boonies and going to Sam’s would allow them to get products that they could stock up on as well. I would love to win this, thanks!!!

I save money buy using coupons amd shopping based on sales. I would definitely use a Sam’s Club Advantage Plus Membership to help save money. 1st of all, just winning this would save me money. 2nd of all, I would use my membership to buy meat, because meat at Sam’s club is alot cheaper because it is sold in higher quantity packets with lower price. I like this because I save money and stock up at the same time, so I don’t have to be running back and forth to the store all the time for dinner meat which saves me gas and time.

It is hard to keep up with the “normal” clean up with kids AND a dog, so we go through laundry, self care, and cleaning products SO fast too. I am always looking for the best deals as I am unable to work due to chronic health issues . My husband did have a Sam’s Club membership many years ago, but that work benefit was cut.
I LOVE the decorated cakes Sam’s has. I am not able to make the ones I used to for my kids. These are so yummy and reasonably priced for any occasion. We would LOVE to have a Sam’s card!!!

I save by stock shopping. I only shop items when they are at a knock-out price and that I have coupons for that are also doubled (sometimes tripled). I can get a lot of groceries for free or next to nothing (I also buy eight Sunday newspapers just for the coupon books). When I shop in Sam’s Club, I only purchase the items we need or can use that I can’t possibly get any cheaper (most of the time) the way I normally shop–milk, eggs, butter, whipped cream, sharp cheddar cheese at $2.00/lb., etc. I also walk up and down aisles scanning the last two digits of the posted prices checking for sale and clearance items.

We clip coupons and shop via sales. A Sam’s Advantage Membership would allow us to shop and buy with more values than we currently have. Thanks for the opportunity.

We save money in various ways, specifically by buying only those things that we really need. I always shop with a list, use coupons, and like going to Sams for bulk purchases. This membership would add an extra level to that, by having some ecoupons immediately usable for each shopping trip.

I save money by stocking up on things when they are on sale. I do not like to run out of anything. This is also a good reason why sams would help me save money. With a new baby on the way, I could go to sams and stock up on baby diapers/supplies! Thanks so much!

I save money by using coupons, watching the grocery ads in the newspaper, making sure I go to the grocery store alone, and eating beforehand so I won’t make impulse purchases.

I hit up our local club stores to buy prepared dinner items like frozen pasta dishes to cut down on my prep time at home. I can throw them in the oven and get other things done while dinner is cooking.

We don’t buy items we don’t need. I save all my change and at the end of the year we usually have enough saved to buy something like a new electronic. I shop in bulk when I can, but I’m not a member of Sam’s Club and there are very few bulk stores around here. I buy meat when it is marked down and freeze it for later. I bought a vacuum sealer for stuff like that so it lasts much longer.

I am interested in that as they give you a prinout- how many are you aloowed to buy if there are xx amount of things listed? You can email me if you want, was curious as to how that worked.

I have a Sams Club membership (about to expire) and purchase a wide range of products from the club. Ironically there are times that certain items are priced cheaper in Walmart where you can use coupons. The membership is still a good value; it would be a sad world if we only shopped for everything in one store.
I save money by considering whats on special at the various stores, clipping coupons and still ending up with meals that are healthy and cater to the families tastes.

We shop at Sam’s about once every 6 weeks or so. There are several items they carry that we just can’t get anywhere else – Dove ice cream bars, Jimmy Dean sausage patties, Black Label bacon in a 3-pound package, a large resealable package of Krusteaz pancake mix, etc. An additional way we save money is with the SplashShopper software on a Palm Z22 device, which lets us track prices at various stores so we can tell if the price at a particular store is a better deal or not.
