Move over candles. Hello Scentsy! *Review & Fab Giveaway!*

Coconut. Lavender. Luxe Vanilla. No, I am not talking about food. I am talking about something so yummy, but something that you cannot eat. Your sense of smell is connected really well to our memory. When I am walking around, driving around, whatever – and I smell something; that may remind me of my childhood, it may remind me of a flower from way back when, it may remind me of the smell of my grandmother’s hugs. The sense of smell has to be the most powerful sense that we have.

I had a memorable experience to check out a fabulous product called Scentsy. Oh. My. Gosh! If there was ever memories that flowed back to me, it was with this product.

What is Scentsy?
Scentsy “Makes Perfect Scents”. We are pioneering the move away from the smoky, sooty candles of today to safe, healthy, fun and creative ways to bring the scents that make us happy into our lives. We offer over 80 high quality fragrances delivered in a variety of ways. Our flagship product is the Authentic Scentsy Bar, an impressively fragrant wickless candle bar that is warmed in a warmer rather than burned with a flame.

Each year thousands of homes are damaged or destroyed by burning candles. The enthusiastic response we receive from our customers, our consultants, and more particularly fire-fighters, reflects the nationwide concern over the devastation burning candles can cause. This was our initial motivation – to create a safe alternative to burning candles. Our passion has grown from offering a safe alternative to offering a better alternative. I have had a Scentsy Warmer in my house for about two weeks now. My house smells like heaven! It smells fresh. My house smells yummy!

Scentsy Warmers
Scentsy warmers are specifically designed to perfectly melt Authentic Scentsy Bars into an impressive wax pool that throws the maximum amount of fragrance over the longest period of time. Scentsy Warmers melt wax at a lower temperature so there is never any danger of burning children or pets. I chose the Shabby Chic Scentsy Warmer. I thought all the colors would go perfectly in any room in our house. Boy, was I right! Right now, I have it in our kitchen. I love it! LOVE it!

When I received the Scentsy warmer, hubby laughed at me for doing a minute by minute picture taking process. I wanted to see how long it took for the wax to melt. I wanted to see how long the smell lasted. I wanted to see how long the smell stuck around. Oh, shush! Like you didn’t think I would take a step by step picture progress?

Guess what? There is no flame, no lead, no smoke! This is, by far, the safest candles on the market. How is the wax heater? It is warmed over a 25 watt lightbulb. So the wax never gets warmer than a paraffin wax treatment. Each cube lasts anywhere between 8 and 10 hours; depending on scent.

I wanted to make sure it was safe for my kids. What would happen if one of the kids were to pull the warmer on top of them? Hot wax and kids just to not mesh well, do they? I had to do a test to see what would happen if I stuck my finger in the warmer, after about 45 minutes. The wax was melted. It looked hot, but when I stuck my finger in it, it was not HOT at all. Warm, yes, but nothing that hurt, was too hot and I honestly felt (still feel) comfortable knowing the Scentsy is in my home with the kids.

Another thing that I love about Scentsy is that you can mix flavors with Scentsy Bars. Oh, so yummy!!

Authentic Scentsy Bars are incredibly potent bars of highly scented wax. Because a sooty candle is never our problem, we can pack each Scentsy Bar with more fragrance oil than most 12 oz. jarred candles. With over 80 fragrances to choose from, there is one sure to please everyone.

What about our cars? Why not have our cars smelling yummy too? I tried out the Scentsy Car Candle as well. My van smells so good, I don’t even want to get out :lol:
