Summer Fun with Skitter Ride on Toys! *Review & Giveaway*

by Tanya on June 21, 2009

in Closed Contests, Summer Event, VadoHD, Video Reviews (Vlog)

I was just introduced to a fun ride on toy for kids. It is called a Skitter. Well, I say for kids, but the Skitter is good for ages 18 months all the way to 81 years.

skitter_ride_on_toy__outdoor_toy_all_colors_1

History

We are an American Company based in Southern California owned by parent company WCNGroup. SkitterToys is the original Online Toy Store that retails exclusively the Skitter ride on toy car since 2003. We have upgraded wheels, spare parts, toy awards, education, safety, events and many, many testimonies from Skitter fans from all over the country including including Alaska and Hawaii.

Skitter_blue_sHow is the Skitter different from other ride on toys that are similar?

As the original online source for the best toy, we continue to test all similar ride on toys to the Skitter and discuss in more detail in our FAQs and Counterfeits pages. But we do not want to waste your time on why other toy stores sell the Plasma Car or similar looking ride on toys, we just want to continue providing you with the Superior Customer service, price and ride on toy for kids today, the Skitter.

How about toy safety?

We have been assured by our manufacturer that our products are Lead Free. As our loyal customers know, we are parents first and safety is our number priority. Our children play on their Skitters daily, not just because we have them, but they truly enjoy the best ride on toy in the world.

What ages is the Skitter for?

We have seen kids as young as 18 months all the way up to an 81 year old Grandmother. From our experience, kids ages 2 and up enjoy the Skitter. We used to give our recommendation for what colors girls like and what colors boys like, at this point we have given up. We try to encourage the buyer to find out what colors the child likes then make the choice. Having the upgraded wheels not only adds significant performance but also another color choice.

Here is a video of Tucker’s first time on the Skitter. He is still learning it and really enjoys it!

I like the Skitter because of the way it is made. Kambry is 20 months old and can ride on it, as well as Tucker, who is almost 4, can ride on it as well. The kids will push off with their feet, while turning the steering wheel handle, which gives them more power to go forward.

The Skitter is available in 6 colors. This is becoming a favorite in our house with the kids!

My little one’s a clutzy bebe, so I love that it has a stabilizer.

My kids have one and today at the park my oldest whom is 10, over 5 feet tall and 110 lbs, had a wheel break. First problem in over 2 years while riding just about everyday. They are a hit at every park and I would love one for my youngest. Thanks so much.

I love the blue skitter. I think that it looks like even a grandma would have fun playing on a skitter, and yes I did see a grown man demonstrate it at Canton one time, LOL.

6 Chelsea July 7, 2009 at 3:45 pm

I like the green one…I also love how it works…and will work so well for such an age variety.. No batteries and no noise is also great!

7 Roxanne Carson July 6, 2009 at 9:05 pm

I like the looks of this toy. I actually saw it in the Malvern Town Centre in Scarborough yesterday.

My son actually has a bike of sorts that we put him on now and push him… what a burn in the back of my legs but he squeals with such delight when he’s on it, that I have no choice but to keep pushing. It’s probably the only toy that he cries when it’s time to come off.

The skitter would be a step up, something that he can propel on his own and it’s eco friendly.

I love all the colors but he would look great in Red!

Thanks

First off, it comes in the coolest colours – we’d likely choose the yellow one in our house. Also, love that it essentially can be used forever unlike most toys that kids outgrow size or developmental-wise in a year or two. It looks like so much fun!

223 Kelly Ann T. June 23, 2009 at 11:57 pm

I like the blue skitter because it will get the kids up and moving. It is self-propelled and that makes it great exercise.

What a fun product! My son is 20 months and he LOVES riding on bikes or cars, but we haven’t been able to find something that really works for him. They are either too big (he can’t reach the pedals) or they are too wide (his feet get stuck under the wheels). I love that this is something that he could play with right now and still be able to play with many years down the road! No buying a new riding toy every year! I love the red skitter, but the greeen one is pretty fun too.

This is a toy that everyone loves. A friend has it and our daughter cant stay off of it so to win one would be awesome. I like that it comes in different colors our favorite is red, its self propelled and how cool is that!!!! All you have to do is move the steering wheel and anyone can move it. It is super durable aswell and thats a great feature when you have young kids. Great contest !!!!

393 Maureen June 21, 2009 at 7:18 am

Wow my Daycare Kiddos would love The Skitter, I love the age range 2 to 81.. What fun.. I know the kids would have a great time on it..
I love the Yellow color, It looks like a little Bee to me.. Very cute.
I love this toy for a coule of reasons.. #1 being it is Kid Powered, no batteries, nothing.. just your kid and the toy. That’s the way it should be.
Thanks for the chance at the awesome giveaway
