One of my favorite companies to enjoy in my house, as well as that has taken me by the hand and the heart is Smuckers. I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting on the results for the current contest winners to be announced for the second annual “Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest.”
Last month, the J.M. Smucker Company, the makers of Smucker’s® jams, jellies and preserves, is pleased to announce the top five finalists in the second annual “Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest.” With the help of your vote, one of these finalists will win a five day, four night family trip for eight to the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.
To enter the contest, contestants were asked to share an original family recipe that has been passed down for at least two generations. Consumers from all over the country submitted their favorite family recipes incorporating at least ¼ cup of Smucker’s jams, jellies, preserves or fruit butter. Entrants also shared the family history behind their recipes and how they continue to make family celebrations special. This year, the top five finalists are:

A family recipe my mom and I used is the Smucker Chocolate Syrup with ice cream, walnuts, whip cream and cherries on top. She still makes it for us each Holiday. We use Homemade Ice cream….so yummy. LOL
