I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Spring. Tonight before you go to bed, be sure to set those clocks ahead an hour as we Spring Forward. Another thing that we do, besides changing the clocks, is we replace the batteries in our smoke alarms. We live in an old 1900 two story home with a basement living space, so we have several smoke alarms throughout the house and stair ways. Smoke alarms are often forgotten about, so I’m here to help remind you. We changed the batteries in ours with Rayovac’s 9V Alkaline batteries
While we haven’t had a fire in our home, there have been a couple of times in which we had close calls, either while we were doing home remodeling and found faulty wiring or where one of us almost burned down the kitchen with an experimental dishes. Our smoke alarms have alerted us when we needed it to.
Daylight savings starts on Sunday, March 10th, so be sure to set those clocks forward one hour before you go to bed tonight.
