With summer just around the corner, we are doing more things outside and we are in the process of making a play area for the kids so that we can have more family time in our back yard for playing, grilling out and simply hanging out with each other. We have a pretty large deck on the back of our house and the kids love to eat their meals outside. As a mommy, I love it so that I don’t have too much of a kitchen mess to clean up, we can enjoy the fresh air and the kids can have fun while they eat. We had a chance to check out a new product from Step2 that we absolutely love: Play Up Fun-Fold Jr. Picnic Table.

We love the Step2 Play Up Fun-Fold Jr. Picnic Table!

• SIZE: When it arrived, my first thought was the size. It is a lot smaller than the regular Step2 Picnic table, but I have to say that having two kids and toys on the deck (or inside our home), the size of the Play Up Fun-Fold Jr. Picnic Table is perfect.
• STORAGE: When the kids are done playing, coloring or eating, you simply unscrew the bolts on each side and push the table down. This makes the table compact so that you can store on your porch, in a closet, or pretty much anywhere.
• TRAVEL: You can travel with this table very nicely as well! Are you going to the park for the day? The Step2 Play Up Fun-Fold Jr. Picnic Table is perfect for just that! We have a Jeep and this fits nicely in the back for travels to the park, across town, or anywhere.
• WEIGHT: The weight is just around 17 pounds so it is not heavy or bulky for lifting, moving and storing.
• MEASUREMENTS: It measures: 19.00 H 37.00 W 29.00 D. You can easily seat four kids at this table. We have a 5 year old and 2 year old and they fit beautifully at the table.
• PRICE: This table retails for $39.00 on the Step2 website. Do I think it’s worth it? Absolutely!
• USE: We use this table just about anywhere. The first picture below shows the Jr. Picnic Table in my kitchen, just inside our deck doors. We have a bar table in our kitchen that the kids usually sit at to eat, but with the nice weather out, we have been eating outside and spending more time enjoying this beautiful weather.

Here is what all comes in the box. There are seven main pieces to the table, instructions and all the nuts & bolts that you need to put together. How easy was it to put together? Very! It took different tools and very little time.

When you are ready to store, you unscrew the side screws and push the table down.

We keep ours standing on its’ side, just outside our deck doors. It folds down nicely so you are easily able to store in a closet, garage, on your patio or deck – just about anywhere.
