With all this Spring Cleaning, I like to make sure I have my entire basis covered. Now that my floors are steam cleaned, how am I going to keep them clean when the muddy shoes come in from playing outside? I had the chance to try out the ever so awesome Swiffer Sweeper and I have to say that I love it! I have seen them in the stores, but never really put too much thought as to how they work and most importantly.. DO they work? Yes they work and they work nicely, I might add!
Swiffer just launched the newly designed Swiffer Sweeper, a two-in-one product that features dry cloths that trap and lock 50 percent more dirt, dust and pet hair than a broom and a 360°swivel-head floor cleaner to get into hard to reach places (like corners, edges and under the couch where pet hair can hide).
What is the Swiffer Sweeper?
With all the benefits of the original Swiffer Sweeper, allowing you to sweep and mop with one simple tool, the NEW Swiffer Sweeper uses dry sweeping cloths to trap and lock fifty-percent more dirt, dust, hair and pet dander than a broom! The 360° swivel-head also helps reach into tough spots like corners and edges where brooms can’t always go.
In addition to its innovative technology, it also has new design elements:
- Stronger and deeper corner cleaning
- Soft, ergonomic handle grip for better control
- Head size to allow more utilization of cloths
- Dry cloths have been improved for better pickup of dust, dirt and pet hair
- Wet cloths have a new texture to mop and scrub to a shine
Here is what you get when you buy a Swiffer Sweeper.
One sweeper
Two dry sweeping cloths
One wet mopping cloth

How exactly does the Swiffer Sweeper work?
Using a redesigned technology, the Swiffer Sweeper’s swivel-head can get into hard to reach places, such as under the refrigerator, on the ceiling and even in corners and edges where brooms can’t always go. With the Wet Cloth and Dry Cloth, clean up has never been easier. The Dry Cloths use electrostatic action and new dirt-grabbing texture to trap and lock away fifty-percent more dirt, dust and pet hair, and even traps and locks small crumbs! The Wet Cloths come pre-moistened with a cleaning solution that dissolves dirt and soils for the textured cloth to trap and lock into its deep ridges. It also has a strip for cleaning up tough, dried-on messes including tough dirt, grime and even scuff marks. When finished cleaning, just throw the Wet or Dry Cloth and all the soil away.

Just when I thought my floors were clean, I use a product and come up with this:

From a mom’s point of view, this is a great product to have on hand for those times that you can’t, or just aren’t in the mood, to hard core scrub or steam your floors.
This starter kit retails for around $10.99. For all that you get with this kit, I think this is a good price for all that you get. The refills for the Swiffer Sweeper are not bad priced either. I found that they run for between $5.00 and $8.00 for a pretty large pack.
All in all, this is highly recommended! Great product! It does its’ job and is a great size to store in the pantry, or wherever you keep your broom, or cleaning supplies.
Would you like to win a Swiffer Sweeper starter kit?

My plans for spring cleaning will be taking everything from my dorm home into my room. Then, I will be cleaning my room to make it look neat.
We’ve already started by cleaning up the yard and backyard patio area. Once the weather improves a bit the windows will be next. Indoors I’m trying to tackle clutter and reorganize…a task I really dread.
I hate cleaning so I always take a garbage bag around the house and make myself throw out about 10 things a week. Helps to keep clutter down.
I love the magic eraser sponges!
I have things I stashed before the holidays that I’ve just left there. Spring housecleaning is a must.

I am working my way from the outside in; we already have raked up the leaves that we missed from the fall from the front yeard.

When I do spring cleaning I take all of the things that are in the way that I’m not using and put them in a small storage-sized room. That way I can later sort through them at my leisure, deciding what to keep, what to donate, and what to re-locate!
I would like to try these.
Besides the decluttering, donating and yard selling – we have lots of windows and blinds that need some work!

I usually clean the windows, blinds, and curtains in the spring, and I like to clean out & get rid of unused clothes, etc., but I’d rather do most of my cleaning when it’s cold outside, not when it’s a beautiful spring day!
For my spring cleaning, I need to reorganize all the cupboards and put everything back in the way it belongs, and fits.
I plan on painting 3 rooms this spring-so I’ll move out the furniture and clean and donate to my church’s rummage sale what i don’t want

My plans for spring cleaning are to clear out the garage… the patio… the porch… and paint the house. Basically, all of the exterior. I try to keep the interior nice on a regular basis, but the exterior, I hardly tend to.
The first part of spring cleaning for me, is to throw open all of the windows. I love the “smell” of spring.
I can hardly wait to clean up the backyard…things are really out of hand back there.

My main things are cleaning my walls, my outside windows and my carpet. All of those things need to be cleaned pretty bad. My carpet gets cleaned about 3 times a year but with 2 girls it gets dirty fast. thank you!!
My husband and I set aside a whole day for spring cleaning. Put on some music, grab some beer and pizza and have as much fun as possible. We can get everything done in one solid day and forget about it until next year! lol!

thanks,great giveaway!
I plan to clean out my closet…wish me luck!
My spring cleaning came early because we are getting ready to move. So everything top to flippin bottom has been dusted, mopped, scrubbed ~ you name it. It has been good though because we have been able to eliminate a lot of clutter and have taken quite a few things to Goodwill. Our new house has more wooden floors, and I know that this sweeper would be well used!
I hate clutter and itseems like the rest of my family doesn’t mind it.
I have containers for items which are labeled so that makes for easy finds later down the road. I also take old worn out socks thatwill be pitched in trash anyway and use them to dust, clean etc saves on paper towel and ruining good cloths. I have tile floors so dirt seems to fly when I sweep so I have found that if I take a old cleaning cloth tampen it after Ihavecut a hole in centerput broom handle through the hole and then sweep my dirt don’t seem to fly as much. Which the swiffer will do almost the same job so would love to win.
Thank you

I don’t know where to start! As a mom of 4 under the age of 6 there’s never enough time. My tip is to take it one day at a time, don’t get so caught up in the cleaning that you miss all the little things in life that mean so much later.
Start with the closets, then work my way out drawers, cabinets, cupboards etc.
My Spring Cleaning plans….put off til next year…haha

I need to donate all my books (the ones that I don’t love enough to read again) to a local library, they are currently ALL OVER my apartment. I’m also going to rent a steam vac from our local stop n shop to steam clean our rugs, we did this last year and it worked really well. they charge about $40 for one days use of the steam vac and then you pay additional for your own cleaning solution that works with the vac. as long as you return it by 10am the next day you only get charged for one day. it’s a lot of work to do in only one day but its worth it, like I said it works real well

I wash my bedskirts and pillows and comfortors in a commerical washer twice a year when I change the quilts. It’s amazing how dusty and dirty everything gets and last time I found out that under my pillow protector my pillow got moldy from sleeping with wet hair. I also just read a really cool tip. To dust ceiling fans, slip an old pillow case over then hold tight and slip off. All the dust stays in the pillow case and doesnt go flying everywhere
