#THRIVE into the New Year with a New You! #ad


Do you take daily vitamins? With the New Year, I’m sure that a lot of you are currently researching what vitamins or ‘quick fix’ pills that you can start taking come January 1st for a healthier new you… am I right? Why do we do this to ourselves? Why aren’t we looking to better ourselves year round?

I recently had surgery to remove a one pound tumor off of my upper back so I wasn’t as mobile in 2016 as I wanted to be. Now that I have full clearance from my oncologist, I am able to get back to the gym and start losing weight to get back to a healthier me. Before and post surgery, I’ve been struggling with so much pain, a range of emotions, hormones, monthly ‘visits’, lack of energy and staying on a routine to get my ‘old self’ back but frankly, I’m sick of taking a hand full of vitamins on a daily basis. I have low blood sugar and low iron, so I have to take these daily vitamins, including prenatal’s for the boost in daily vitamins, in addition to my daily multivitamin, an iron tablet, Vitamin C, extra calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B, St John’s Wart … all in three massive swallows.


I love that my body is getting all that I need from these vitamins, however, I hate having to inhale so many different pills. I was asked to take a Thrive test drive and ditch my daily routine of 9 vitamins. Words can’t express how leery I was about trying it.

Thrive has capsules that basically replaces your handful of daily vitamins. They also have patches that help boost in your natural energy, and shakes. I’ve been using Thrive for about two weeks now, including through the munching of Christmas treats, and I can already feel and tell a difference in myself, my eating habits and my mind set. In conjunction with my iWatch, I am more in tune with my daily activities and have noticed my energy level more balanced, but not over the top. My daily routine now consists of putting my patch on, taking my two Thrive capsules, putting on my running attire, and going on with my day. Mid- Day, I will replenish my body with a shake.

What did I think about Thrive?

  • After day one, I felt pretty amazing. I was alert, cheerful as I usually am, bright eyed and bushy tail (which I usually am), however I wasn’t lagging like I was scared that I’d feel after not taking my normal routine and handful of vitamins.
  • Day two was even better. My mindset was clear and on track. I’ve had some random mood changes here and there, but my hormones are way off track since I had my Mirena taken out. For this, I’ve been making sure to take my daily multivitamin, as well as St. John’s Wart to help curb those emotions.
  • Day three – oh day three. Feeling great, but lovely ‘AF’ is on her way. While my periods are usually horrid, painful, stressful, time spent curled over and many more words of description that I shall not name on a public blog… I was actually feeling at ease for the first time in months.
  • Day four, five, six and for the entire month, I felt more like ‘me’.

For the time that I was on Thrive, I had the natural energy that I had been lacking, I was happy, my emotions were under control, my weight was more manageable, my daily attitude was cheerful as I once was, and I finally was able to say that I had no cramping from my periods.

The decision was pretty simple for me. I am officially two months post surgery and since I’ve been on the Thrive lifestyle, my attitude has improved, my appetite has decreased, my mindset has improved and I am more focused. My surgery was so hard on me since I wasn’t able to be mobile. Now that I am back to being mobile again, I am strengthening not only my body, but my mind and Thrive has helped me regain my self confidence that helps with my everyday life.
